Hi Trudy, and welcome home!

We have missed you on here, RV, or no RV, and you are one of us now, so don't even THINK of going off and living another part of your life without sharing it with us! I know that I, too, would not be happy just living on the roads----I will always need a 'rooted' house to come home to now and then....especially in the summers, and sometimes in the winter to ski and sit in front of a warm wood fire! I LOVE camping----always have----but I love my special home, too. What I really miss now that they are all off on their own are my kids and other family----lonliness doesn't become me. I suspect you were feeling that lonliness on the roads, too.

It sounds as if you are so much happier with your friends and family, and, as Beth says, a "normal" job! (Normal will never be used next to my name, but I know how you feel!) And you are to be congratulated for having the guts to not only TRY another way of life, but to know when to call it a day, or a life's experience, and make a move to go onto something else. It really does take grit to make drastic changes, and to recognize when they need to be made. I will hold you as my role model!

Please be sure to stay in touch, and send us lots of pics from your job at Petco! That sounds like a hobby rather than a job!

I know you will do whatever it takes to find your happiest life, and can now do it with a newly learned and fierce independence that you didn't know you had! You are woman, and we can hear you roar!

Molly sends licks to your Molly, too!

Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Trudy, It was so nice hearing from you again. I've been wondering what was happening with you since you made your decision. It took a lot of guts to finally admit that this was not for you. If you'll remember we were both searching for a motorhome at the same time, you decided on a 5er and I chose class C.
The only difference in our decisions is that you chose to travel on your own and what an experience that was for you and all of us (to hear all about your fears and mishaps) but I chose to stay put near family after I sold my house and now I'm about to leave for 6 mths to Florida, but my sister has decided to join me to travel to Florida. We get along well and it should be a fun trip, but with me to travel all over the place alone is not my cup of tea, I choose not to tempt faith and stay where I have family handy should something happen to me. Once my sister finally sells her house (which has been on the market for 8 mths), we do plan to travel across the states; she in her motorhome with husband and me and my dogs in the class C. That's a trip we are very much looking forward to, but we will take the trip together.
Well Trudy enough about me, I'm hoping you'll stay in regular touch as you have been an inspiration as well as a clown at times, Your comments and quick wits were always refreshing.
Keep laughing at the world and with the world, you are a unique person.
Remember- Keep smiling-
They'll wonder what you're up to.

Hot dang woman!!! I was thinking and talking to Kelly about you just yesterday!!!

I am so sorry that it all didn't work out for you and an RV'ing life. But the most wonderful thing is that diversity in life and choices. I am so glad that you gave it the shot that ya did. And you have much to be proud of. You will never, ever have to wonder if you might have been able! I stop to think of all the people who have posted in one place or another wailing and bemoaning how much they want to do it and were to afraid to even try. You did it. And you have found the right time, place and 'being' for you.

When you filled out that app for Petco? Did you list 1) courage 2) perseverance 3) persistence 4) patience 5) can do personality and last but not least !6! a ballsy attitude!!! Cause you have it for sure.

Congrats on the job at Petco tho I know that you will do great.

DO NOT be a stranger be sure that you always check in for a visit. Your still a SISTAH!

Trudy -

You have had many adventures along this journey called "life" and I'm sure there will be more along the way. Someone once said that life wasn't a dress rehearsal; it's the real show. And, of course, another someone said life is a journey, not a destination. I wish you luck with all your adventures - on the road or staying put with family.

You allowed all of us to go along on your personal journey right from the very start, and we laughed with you, cried with you, and enjoyed all the pictures. Please keep us updated from time to time.

It's pretty evident that all of us are behind whatever you decide to do! And we want you to stick around here! But OMG...a job at Petco! I foresee many pictures of Molly decked out in new duds in the near future!

Trudy,

I am glad you are doing what makes you happy and I agree - we need your humor here. And dpf with the comment about Molly and Petco made me laugh and remember all of those wonderful outfits that Molly let you put on her(she is a very special dog)....you should approach them about an ad campaign for runway dog fashions and Mollie might make you rich. I loved following your adventures and you made me think with your success and some of your boo boos. I also enjoyed your pictures of your travels and it made me sure that I want to travel with an RV.

You also asked lots of great questions that I still will use when I get my RV and it is getting to the point that might happen soon. (within the year)

I hope that we continue to hear your adventures at Petco....remember there are many animal lovers here.

Speaking of Molly and outfits and pictures, here are a few of her in her KOA shirt ! The owners at the KOA here in Iowa just love Molly and she love them so they got her an official KOA shirt and name tag that reads Molly Kanine Ko-Host - she looks so cute !!!
