Made it to Holbrook Az today, 550 miles, wind, wind and more wind! Don't matter which way I go or when I leave I get wind! That crap just follows me wherever I go...SOB!! Settled down with lousy wifi that keeps coming and going and coming and going and yada yada yada. Got a late start this morning, Sam decided to make a run for freedom when I opened Hope's door and I had to go dig him out of the rose bushs so we could leave. Durned cat! Anyway, just checking in and hope this posts! OK done complaining, gonna take a shower and go to bed. I'm on my way...YAYYYYYY!!!

Why, I guess we could consider this the Office Pre-Start of the TN GTG '09 ! ! !

Where's Sharon? Why, she's in Tucumcari, NM! Had a little breeze from Holbrook thru to Albuquerque, heavy traffic thru Albq plus road work, and then of course there's always wind thru the Santa Rosa valley....been thru there many many times and have never ever seen it calm, but it was about half a tail wind so didn't slow me down much, did a pretty steady 65-70 most of the way. I-40 sucks but unfortunately it's the closest way to get to where I'm going. I'm in a pretty bare bones park, but it's perfect. Fairly wide pull-thrus, sewer and electric in the middle so you can reach everything w/o un-hooking the car, good wifi and the electric is strong. Only 20 bucks for the night. Just got back from dinner, walked a half block up the street 'cause the owner said they had good green chile. And they did! Had steak fingers with green chile, chicken enchilada, beans and of course a great sopapilla! I'm fat and happy now...couldn't leave NM w/o having some green chile and a sopapilla, nope wasn't gonna happen!

Should be in Oklahoma tomorrow if I can get thru Texas w/o any problems. Hoping to make it to El Reno. Doubt if I'll have internet there, but the camping's free. Hate that run from here to the OK border, always windy and boring. Oh well, ya gotta take the bad with the good I suppose. Gettin' closer and closer! WooHoo!!

You are scooting right along, Sharon! Just got an email from my friend who left WY and is in CO headed for UT. She said the winds were horrific there , too.
