And today it's raining, and I can see it snowing on the mountains about, oh, 5 miles from here. The forecast high is 46, with rain AND snow forecast for the valley floor.

In Henderson/Las Vegas it was 101 on Monday, 95 yesterday and today it is 75. The weather report is a cold front coming down from the North bringing a lot of wind. Fall is here.

Chilly here, too, in the PNW (pacific northwest). In the 30s this morning and the news showed a couple inches of snow at one of the ski lodges on Mt Hood (4000 ft level). I took Choco and we rode out to visit Little Missy. I pulled her out from under the covered area and ran her genny and furnace for a few. It was nice in there. I tried putting in a DVD but the gen made the TV have allot of snow. Anyone else have that problem?

Last night the temps went down to 18. I wasn't prepared and woke to frozen pipes and no water saved. I found a bottle in the fridge and made tea, but Bogie was banging his water dish around letting me know he needed a drink too. It has thawed now, but tomorrow I'll be ready. Wouldn't surprise me if we have snow soon.

Water hose heating tape! What made you think I was sensible enough to do something like that? That's for folks who worry too much.

It was cold in Holbrook AZ last nite, woke up in the middle of the nite wondering why I couldn't turn over and discovered Sam the cat under the covers up tight against me and Chewy on the other side. Queen size bed and I don't even have room to turn over! Cheesh! Those 2 have fur, you'd a thunk they could stay warm without laying on top of me!
