WEDNESDAY AND LAST DAY OF SEPTEMBER

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

WEDNESDAY AND LAST DAY OF SEPTEMBER

Postby Nasoosie » Wed Sep 30, 2009 4:14 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

It's a chilly 35 degrees here this morning, but toasty inside with my wood fire heating me up. My flu shot arm is a tad tender this morning, so I guess I really did get the shot----the shot-giver nurse was so good that I couldn't feel the injection!

I need to get some bills paid, take a bath, and get ready to face the day. Coffee is all perked now----blueberry cobbler flavor this morning, with vanilla creamer----YUM! C'mon in and sit a spell and tell us about your world. I don't eat in the morning, but I am sure there is still some leftover goodies here in the kitchen someplace!

Good to hear from Echo yesterday morning! And from Beth, too. Was wondering if those Kaibab squirrels had whisked you all away for winter food!

May all of you on the roads be careful and have a good day to travel----I wish I were on the road!

Happy Wednesday----last day of September, can you believe it???

good morning ladies
coffee tastes so good, thanks Soos, and I'll have a little toast as well.
Gotta work late again today, a middle school sports run, but I can remember
which sport
I sure hope all these extra hours keep up week after week, even yesterday I
got an additional hour and a half because one of the schools had some kind of
disturbance and they staged a dozen buses down the street just in case they
had to evacuate the school. They never disclosed what the disturbance was
but eventually everything was cleared and we were able to go about our day.
Still printing out field trips as the teachers get the requests turned in over
email, and I can't believe how some of them wait until the last minute to
request a bus and expect one to be there. The day before is last minute, they
need to request at least a week ahead of time cause thats when the scheduling
gets done. Then of course I have to sort of look over them for mistakes too.
The high schools have some sort of band competition going on next weekend,
and all the high school were getting scheduled to go to the same place except
one. Had to call them and ask if they were sure thats where they wanted to go
because everyone else was going to this other place, so of course it turned out
to be an error. Can you imagine going for a competition and ending up in the
wrong place? Of course it got corrected.
So thats my routine now and I'm sure enjoying it. Have a great day and be safe.

Good Morning All - Well we are home now. Today will be cleaning up Jennie, laundry, checking and catching up mail etc. Going to do it slow though - not ready to get back into a routine. Cannot believe tomorrow will be October already - how fast time flies when you get older. Had a marathon day yesterday - over 400 miles ugh! from Kansas City to home.
So now we'll be getting ready for our winter trip.

Good morning all...sorry have not been online much this summer! We had a big garden but with our cooler and wetter than normal spring and summer it was all slow going with stunted plants. Finally though we started harvesting. I've canned about 50 jars of green beans, so far 2 batches of picante salsa, a batch of stewed 'maters, a batch of tomato juice and a batch of diced tomatos. My plants are about cleared off with just another batch or 2 to go. Then I'll start on canning beets and carrots. The cukes & zukes did good so have been enjoying them daily. We've yet to have a killing freeze so for a wee bit longer we'll enjoy the fruits of the garden! We also froze wild grapes, chokecherries, apples and rhubarb for later use.

Next growing season I plan to start seed myself in February and plant a wider variety of stuff so...I'm looking forward to another busy gardening/canning season.

We are still living full-time in the coach parked beside the barn. We spent most of the spring and summer drawing plans, then redrawing until I just got sick of it. We have several bids on building but so far the plan and builder just haven't connected into a starting point. Therefore -- we'll be spending another cold snowy winter in the rig! After last winter's heavy snow and sub-zero weather -- well, we know what we are in for but secretly wishing we'd found a way to get a house up.

Now that this cold front is moving through with it's high winds and promise of colder air and maybe rain we need to get firewood cut and stock piled for Mom & Dad's winter.

DH wants to take a winter trip to Key West with friends in the coach but after spending so much time in Florida in the past 7 years -- I don't relish the idea of going there again any time soon! And its so far -- 2500 miles from here at least. I guess I've about come to the end of the days when I really want to travel long distance! I'm ready for some space! Having to try to sew, crochet and embroider in here, storing my creative stuff, is well -- impossible! Once we get into a house again full-time and outa the rig except for trips and not full-time living I should enjoy it better. Garsh, you know, a house, even the small one we are going to build is going to feel like a huge barn compared to this coach! Gee, I can't wait!

Anyways -- sorry to jabber on so much...have a great day all!!! Gee is that snow I see on the map????

Poor Cedar! Allergies must be a real pain, eh? Don't newer computers have the ability to speak things for you?
I hope you feel better tomorrow, too!

Good morning ..
it is another wet and cool morning out.
Not much planned for today...we have school and some shopping to get done.

No football practice tonight!!!! Mostly because a few of the boys are sick and some are banged up...it is football. The team they play this coming Saturday is in the lower division, and is mostly 6th graders. Our team is all 7th graders. I am not sure why??? We should have been playing their 7th grade team...but the rumor is they do not want to play us til playoff's. You see the team Ds is on 70% of the boys have been playing together for 3-4 years now. The team that is the 7th graders..they beat in the Championship Game 2 years ago. They actually lost to them in the season that year, but then came back to beat them in the Championship.

Well anyway...I better get going...get some breakfast fixed..the other kids are starting to stir.

Wed. morning and heading to the dr. again w/ Mama. This time it's the surgeon for her last skin cancer off her face. Just routine, she has had those all my life. TOmorrow, Eye dr. for her macular degeneration. Poor dear.. losing one's eyesight is sure hard on ya! I hate it that she can hardly read her bible or her SS lesson any more. Being a secretary all her life,,,im sure this gets on her nerves. Looking into some helps for the blind,,,waiting to hear if we can qualify for some sort of reading aid.

Still gonna be in the 90's here thru the weekend. DANG! I'm tired of heat! But i hear the farmers like it to get their last cutting of hay. Heard it was snowing in the high country. AHhhh,, to be at least down in the valley from it, just to look up @ God's handiwork! ;)

ya'll have a blessed day and check ya later,, in the funnies! ;)

OMIGAWD! I was so tired this morning, I typed September Spetember, and, even though I just edited and changed my headline, all the others remain WRONG! How totally embarrassing!

Sorry, girls-----I'll try to be more careful next time! I did the preview thing, but never added the headline until the final submit!

Hope you are feeling better, Cedar-----my flu shot arm feels better tonight.

After checking the radar, I see NO possibility of snow for us anywhere at this point! We DID get some huge snowflakes falling around noon today at school, however. We only got another half inch of rain since I dumped the rain gauge a couple of days ago. Time to walk and eat supper----happy Wednesday night!

HELLO SISTAHS!!!!!!

Brrrrrr! It's about 45F and windy. Was nice working today cause it was cooler and that means I didn't even break a sweat. LOL But this morning it was nice. Hmmmm? Must be the cold front Sparkle was talking about. I keep wondering if we will see snow here before we get done October 31st. Good thing we got those new tires for the Blazer!

Kelly only worked about ? 3hrs today then went home. She only did her one cabin but not the other 4 rooms she has. Bethers took them on for her so that she could get home. She is feeling pretty crappy. Today is our Friday so we have the next 2 days off. She can lay on the couch and sleep to her little hearts content. Sure hope she is feeling better by Saturday. Poor kid! :(

LOLOL I'm sitting here, Sparkle and the hostess is talking about the date. Sparkle just crowed, "The end is in sight!" LOL Think maybe she is looking forward to heading south to Baja with Bethers??? Get their toes and caboodle's warm down there!!! Probably become beach bums! They will be fine as long as Bethers is the one picking out the beach side camping spots! hehehehe

Ok, time to shut down and head for home, need to get supper fixed. I'm getting hungry......

Love to all
