Tuesday Morn

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Tuesday Morn

Wow..I am the first one here.
Well I have coffee on and some hot water for tea, cocoa or cider.

I made some blueberry and chocolate chip muffins.

It is cool and rainy here in the PNW. I think the indian summer has left us. So this morning we will have to pull up a chair inside instead of on the deck.
The fire place is going also.

We have been busy with fall activities...football keeps us the busiest. DS age 12...his team is doing fantastic they are now 4-0. DD age 15 is loving high school and having a blast. They moved her out of one of her classes. We had her in Drama 1, but since she has done community theater for a few years, they moved her into Drama 2.

The other kids are all doing well. DS 21 is still working on getting his drivers license. The last thing he needs to get completed and then he will join the Coast Guard. DS 18 started college classes back up last week and that is going well.

Kodie is doing great, we are in the process of getting some stuff done with the endocrinologist..her rate of growth has greatly slowed...at the age when it should be peaking. So she will have some tests done and will most likely start on Human Growth Hormone, pending the results of the tests.

That is about it from here.

Ali is on her way home, they should be back here in the next couple of days.

Good Morning Kristy and all our sisters!

I'm already at work and have seven high school students in the room right now. A good bunch of kids. No problems, working quietly.

Congrats on your son's football team's record! Here we play soccer. Our varsity boys lost last night,... our varsity girls are at 2-1-0 for record right now.

The sun is shining,... after a wicked wind/rain storm last evening.

Hope you are all headed into a great day!

Slow morning in here....well no wonder, the cabinet is bare. I'll just whip up a batch of chocolate muffins to bring them in. Cutting up a platter of fresh fruit too. Ya'll come now, he'ah? Fresh pot of coffee is on too.

I've been to the eye dr. to pick up new glasses....now comes the period of adjustment...getting used to the new prescription and fit. So far, so good.

No word yet on shipment of new refer for the rv....it's hard to be patient.

We're having our first hint of fall this week in FL. Lows in the 60's expected over night and highs in mid-80's instead of 90's. Yes!

Wishing you all a nice day, whatever you are doing.

Morning everyone!

I was up late last night as my DIL called around midnight to say she got a quick text from my son, who is embedded with the Filipino Marines in Jolo, saying they had a IED go off and the US suffered casualities. Once in a while CNN will cover our troops in other countries besides the Middle-East, but the general public never hears of the other dangerous battles going on in other places, too. If you care to, you can read what the BBC had to say. The Muslims are trying to take over one of the islands.

I also got an email from my friend in Alaska that her sister in CO lost her battle with breast cancer. She was 52 yrs old.

We, too, got rain last night and our temp highs will only be in the low 60s for the remaining week. Yep, Fall has fallen.
I'm enjoying my steel oats w/banana this morning. Coffee is hot and tastes especially good to me. Bowling in an hour!

Wishing everyone a blessed day!

Nope he was the opposite. We put him in Drivers Education at 17 ( i make my kids wait til they are 17). He hated it..he completed driver's ed, but never went in for the final drive and test.

How has he been getting around...95% of the time he takes the bus...when he lived in town he walked most places. The occasionally he would have us take him, but it was always when we were headed into town or to the store and such.

He has finally decided he is ready. I would rather let them wait until they are ready. Even my next DS opted to wait until he was almost 18. Now DD coming up..has it in here head that she is almost 15 1/2 and wants to take drivers ed...ha ha...not.

HELLO SISTAHS!!!

WoooWeee it's chilly outside! Don't know what the temp is out there but the wind is blowing pretty good. The gusts just want to go thru ya. Sparkle says we have a cold snap coming thru tomorrow. Don't know how long it's gonna last tho. This morn at 5:30am it was beautiful sitting outside with Shade drinking my coffee. Went out with my blankie and shucked it off so sat there just in my single layer fleece jacket. Sat out there for probably 30 minutes then had to go in and take a shower.

Kelly and I have been going for rides on the forestry roads for the past 3 days. Sure is some beautiful scenery, took some pics but will have to wait a little bit before I can get Kelly to upload them as her batteries in the camera died. Yesterday we took a picnic with us. Egg salad sandwiches, tomato soup, chips and drinks for us and a Little Caesars for Shade. She also got a few of my french onion Sun Chips and a little bit of tomato soup in her empty dish too. She thought that it was a really yummy picnic!! Then she ran around the meadow barking and digging up a heck of a cloud of dust. Silly dog! Today Kelly is sick with a wicked head cold. We got off work went home to grab something to eat and she didn't want to come back down to play on her laptop. She stayed home and went to sleep. She is feeling yucky.

Still looking for a winter job. Paulette sent me some info on one and I've sent out an email. Lenora also sent me some info about house sitting. I've bookmarked the web addy and will subscribe to the thing as soon as I can.

Finally got new tires for the Blazer. What a huge worry off knowing that we have new tires now. The old ones were so worn out that they were getting close to bald. That's why I now dare to go off on the dirt and rock forestry roads. Haven't found any roads that need 4 wheel drive yet tho. And the canyon doesn't count! :o

The owner here has put a big roof over top of the park model we live in. Some time in the next couple of weeks they will finish it and put on the sheets of metal roofing and be done. It's nice now that if it's raining we can still go outside. Gonna be great the next time it's raining and Shade decides it's time to sniff little thing before deciding where to go 'P'. :x

We have been booked solid for most of this past month and I guess we are booked solid for the month of October. Which is great of course. But it gets a little hairy when my rooms usually have diff people in them every night which makes me as busy as one of those "cats" getting my rooms done by 3pm. I am thinking about checking into being the morning dishwasher for next season unless we find a job someplace super. At least here they provide housing and allow pets. Need some where cool in the summer and warm in the winter of course! LOL

Ok, I guess I will grab that last blueberry muffin to have with my milk. YUM!!!

Hope ya'll are doing fine and are in good health!!!!

Love to all
