Saturday morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Saturday morning

Good morning, everyone
Its a great saturday, I get to do a sports field trip today, boys cross country and that
usually means a good 6 hours on the time sheet :D and with the extra I got over the
week printing and making field trip requests, a little overtime to boot. I am truely
pleased. If I can keep up the full time sheet I'll have my summer debt paid off by
the end of December.
We also have a 3 day weekend, monday is district recess day, its a paid day off, and
no one really knows what its for, not a holiday and not a parent conference day, but
I signed up to do extra on monday as well so I'll have another 6 extra hours for that
day :D and October has 3 paydays so I'm really working on some good sized paychecks
for this month.
The temps are predicted to be around 103 or 104 today so I'll take my little cooler
pack it with ice from the machine at work and keep a few bottles of water cold. I'm
also taking my thermous of coffee for the mid morning sleepies. Dont have a book
to read at the moment but I'll take my crochet with me and I can sit on the bus crocheting. I have one that needs to be just about 10 inches more and it'll be done.
(sending it to a friend for a housewarming gift) Also taking my camera as I'm told
this is a very nice park we're going to and there just might be some photo opps.
Whats everyone else up to today? I'll have to catch up on laundry tomorrow and do
my planning for the second week gas and food budget.
The coffee is ready and a few goodies on the counter. Help yourself.
Have a great day and be safe

Well good morning all!

I can't believe I'm beating the Right Coasters, especially on a weekend. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I was out like a light by 9:00 last night and at 5:30 my body said that 8 1/2 hours of sleep is plenty. Anyway, I'm waiting for the sun to come up. Don't do coffee when it's this warm outside (at least 75 right now ...).

I've got a busy, fun weekend. This morning will be spent at the L.A. County Fair with a friend. Love going to look at the exhibits, animals, and flowers -- and of course eating every step of the way. We'll get there when it opens at 10:00 and hopefully beat the worst of the heat. It's still triple digits here ... ugh. Then this evening I'm joining thousands -- literally -- at the Hollywood Bowl for their annual "Sound of Music Sing-along". The Bowl seats about 14,000 people and it's usually sold out for this event. They have a costume parade before showing the movie on a HUGE screen. Everyone sings along with the movie, encouraging Maria as she finds her confidence, and then warning the Captain when he opens the gate to find Rolf in the cemetary. It's a hoot. But it'll be a long day. A mid-afternoon nap will definitely be in order to make it through the movie.

I hope those of you with real Autumn weather enjoy it. We won't see that until about November here.

Have a great day all!

Love a good county fair!! The Sound of Music Sing-along sounds like a ton of fun!! I saw that movie with my girlfriend when it first came out. Later my friend and I lost touch, but about 3 yrs ago found each other again. So it has a special meaning to me.

Today should be perfect weather-wise, in the high 70s. Tomorrow low 80s then comes our typical Fall weather, 60s and rain for all of next week. I won't be taking Little Missy out any time soon, but I think I have my next CG all picked out.

Also today is my birthday. The big 6-oh! :o  I'm going to my 2 GD's soccer team rally halfway to the OR coast. My DD suggested driving the rest of the way to the coast for a late lunch afterward. That would be nice.

Ava, glad you are getting in some OT to meet your bills! Good for you!

Just finished my steel oats and coffee. I need to take Choco for his morning walk, get showered, and be up at my DDs by 11.

Have a great day, everyone!

Sounds like everyone has a busy day planned! I'm trying to decide if I want to head to Mitchell to go shopping or just stay home and try to do it on the web. I just hate shopping but have found that I've been putting it off way too long and most of my fall/winter clothes are starting to look kind of rough. Anyone else feel like I do? Everything looks like it belongs on a teenager or someone in a nursing home.

Ava I'm so glad that you are getting in some overtime. But I'm sure the wait time can get long. I spent a lot of time with the bus drivers when I was teaching and taking kids on field trips. Forestgal...isn't that fair food yummy? And you can just feel your arteries clogging when you eat it! Heard that the new hot seller at the Texas state fair was deep-fried butter! The Sound of Music Sing-a-long sounds fun...I might even sing if there were that many others around to drown out my voice! ;) Lenora...HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You should have fired up little Missy and taken the whole family to the soccer rally...then between matches you would have a place to relax.

Everyone have a good day....
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Today...well it is football season...so we will have breakfast. Do a quick clean up of the kitchen and then it is off to DS football game.
His team is doing very well. IMO they need to have a team challenge them and get a closer score, as it seems with some of the players they are letting it go to their heads. They have basically been untouchable with the teams they have played so far. Even the second and third string are good. I love to watch football but I like the games to be a little closer.
SO far their games have been
Game 1 (they played one of last year's top teams) they won 40-0
Game 2 Win 42-8
Game 3 WIn 28-0 (our first string only played about the first 8 min of the game and the score was 22-0. So the coach started playing the second and even the third string.

Then after that it is home and relaxing.
