TUESDAY AND FIRST DAY OF FALL!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

TUESDAY AND FIRST DAY OF FALL!

Postby Nasoosie » Tue Sep 22, 2009 4:38 am

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!

So very warm here today----57 degrees, and raining slightly. NO MICE, for the 4th day now!! Perhaps I have finally chocked all the holes and cracks where they were getting in here----OR (shudder) they are all holed up in nests nursing babies somewhere in this house!)

School was trying yesterday, but not traumatic. We have changed schedules around so I am no longer responsible for the psycho student during his 'free' (lunch, bus, recess) time. My shift is study hall in the room with a telephone right there. I still go to bed each night and plan what I am going to say to my other two students whom I follow to regular classes each day to try to make a difference in their attitudes toward the world and toward themselves. I am leaving the discipline for my group of three, including the psycho, to the art teacher in charge first period, as she says her classes are very open to conversation and lax rules. (As a result of this, the psycho and the girl who adores him accomplish virtually nothing in her class.) I am there to merely escort whomever needs a 'break' to cool off from unacceptible behavior to the disciplinary officer in the main office area.

And so it goes.....I will be ready to retire in June, if not way before!!!

Coffee is hot and vanilla nut, but I'm about to make another pot of hazlenut for the road. C'mon in and sit a spell and tell us what's up in your world. I love reading all the posts when I get home from school each day, get out of my -go-to-work clothes, shed my shoes, and sit with my beer or, my latest favorite 'AHHH-ANOTHER IS DAY OVER' beverage, ELATIONS health drink (chondroitin joint stuff in liquid form) mixed with a touch of vodka! Then Molly and I do a tour of the property which is about two miles if we take the figure 8 route.

I'm looking forward to the latest pics of the PA GTG group!
Happy Tuesday and first day of Fall!

Good Morning, all..............
The fun continued yesterday when Ernie & I took Peggy & Tina touring Gettysburg....we arrived here at "the Home Base" campground about 10:30am...parked and hooked up the electric & water...then the 4 of us jumped in the truck and headed into town....the weather was beautiful and Ernie hit the "high spots" about the battle. Had an early dinner at a local diner, then back to the campground where, later, we had "happy hour" of wine, cheese, and local apples and some more wonderful conversation.....I didn't take very many photos of the tour, but Tina & Peggy did and I'm sure they will post them in the GTG thread when they get the chance...

Ernie's off to mow lawns and I have a trip with his Step-dad to his Dr.'s appt this morning....Will posted the rest of my GTG photos later...

Thanks for the coffee, Soos...
Have a great day, all...

well good morning ladies
coffee is dripping, can't wait for a fresh cup, it smells so good :P
Autumn equinox officially starts at 2:18 this afternoon, so they say
on the news, I'll be pulling into my afternoon school about that time
getting into place for the bell at 2:45. I am SO looking forward to
fall temperatures, but it will climb back up over 100 over the weekend.
At least our nights have cooled off. My a/c on the bus quit yesterday
and the shop is fixing it, hope to have my bus back this morning so
I'm not in a spare for long. The spare buses are a tad dirty and yukky
cause no one takes care of them. If I end up with a spare for any
length of time I'll have to clean it just so I feel "ok" in it. Maybe even
a good idea just for some extra time on my timesheet.
Ok, coffee is done and I'll grab a cup then off to get dressed. Have a
great day and be safe.

Good morning!

It's a beautiful dawn here in the Champlain Valley. it's raining... We really needed rain, believe it or not! But to make it even more interesting, the eastern sky is spreading a huge pink glow of sunrise.

After school today I have to take my 3rd grader grandson to his soccer practice. His mother will pick him up. I'll watch some of his soccer, then go back to school to work until around 6 at the tax office.

Time to get ready for work,.... have a great day everyone!

Morning everyone. Lori, glad to hear you all are continuing on with the gtg! Me, I'm back at work and back to reality  Oh well, it is what it is. The good news is that GD's mom signed the papers...so I won't be taking a trip to Iowa next month.
