I got a special gift

went to the mailbox to get my mail and saw a card from my friends Ginny and Mickey.
They are full timers and retired in march and went to spend the summer in Maine
where they are originally from. We've kept up emails all summer so I was a bit
surprised to see a real snailmail card from her. When I opened it.....what a surprise!!
They bumped into Bob from Survivor Gabon (last season) as he is from Maine, and
they had a nice chat with him and his wife. Bob had just spent 5 days alone on one of
the islands off Maine and he retired from his teaching position and said the $500,000
really changed their life. I have an autographed picture from him just to ME!! with my
name on it. How cool is that !?!?
btw, the new survivor season started last thursday

Wow Ava, that's neat, too bad he didn't include some of the green ones in with the pic, huh! I watched when that show first came out, but not much since then, don't know why, guess something else comes on at the same time, I don't know, LOL.

OMG - how cool is that!!!???? Bob was 2 seasons ago (TJ or JT won last season) I LOVE Survivor. I haven't missed one single minute except the premier this season! I was shocked that I hadn't set Tivo! I was bummed, but at least now, you can watch full episodes online! Thank goodness!

I see they're in Samoa this year - they keep following me and George around!

So, I take it you're a big fan? There'll never be another show like the first season. That was magic television. It's been on a slow downhill slide ever since then. But I still watch! It's gotta be ending soon, I would think.
