Virus?

Is it just me or is there a virus on the other womens forum?
Want to know if anyone else has gotten a warning? I can't get into that forum on either computer and shows a threat.

I got a blank page too with a little disc thing floating in upper left of screen. My AVG posted a warning for me to quaranteen the virus. My computer seems ok. For those who don't have AVG as their virus protection, there is a free version that is available at Grisoft.com. Opps, just checked and now there is a free trial version didn't find the free one but look at the site carefully it might just be tricky to find. The place that installed our system put the AVG on ours along with SpyBot and Ad aware both also free.

I get a square that says a recent attempt to invade my computor was blocked. I haven't even tried to log on for several days and was ask to try. Guess I better run a virus check. There are several who are getting this I think. I can't get anything as far as logging on.

I just looked at the details on the warning and it said the invasion was from localhost and it was a very high risk but it was blocked. I'm running a virus scan now just to be very sure.

I just ran my virus and I have no problems but I have two anti-virus programs (AVG and AntiVir - both free) AND I use Mozilla for internet access. Guess I'll stay away for sure - don't want some bad virus. Thanks for the heads-up.

Well, I was stupid enough to click on the little icon that finally appeared after staring at the white page for a few minutes. Up came a ton of Japanese or Chinese writing and my computer started running, so I quickly shut it down. I have Norton anti-virus and all the other bells and whistles but it wasn't caught if indeed it is a virus. We'll see what my scan comes up with. I also emailed RVA about the problem. I have never been attacked by a virus before in the 13 years I've had internet.

I ran Spyware Doctor anti-virus & it showed nothing..... however ... my computer no longer automatically brings up my username & password for this forum. I'll stay away from the other forum.
