Hey! I survived and so did my dog and Little Missy! We had great fun and nothing drastic happened. We left last Wed. morning and got home today, Friday, about 11 AM. It was two days filled with my "firsts". First I drove on the interstate for the first time with Little Missy. Had a semi on my butt , but hey, if he wanted to he can go around, right? I was holding it around 60 as my gas pedal foot was hopping around so much from nerves I didn't seem to have the muscle power to push harder. I didn't have many miles to go so I hung in there and did ok. Got to the state park.
Then backed in like a pro. Well, a semi-pro.
Got to remember to park off to the hook up side in order to leave room on the other side so I can get in and out without having to walk on the dirt/grass.
I didn't do too badly with leveling.
Then we took a walk around. At one end there is a huge open field where I let Choco off leash. Up on one hill in the corner is seating and a smallish stage. Must be for ranger talks etc.
Down the valley and up the other side is the apple orchard.
Choco loved it there, but seemed to love being on the picnic tables best.
I got to see my first yurt! I snuck pictures through the window.
And the ceiling
Just a tree I liked
A puzzle I did.
My first meal. Well, I liked it! Cottage cheese, tomatoes and a chopotle, black bean veggie burger.
We took lots of walks but didn't quite make it all the way to the river/beach area. Next time.
Then my first DUMP. I didn't get a stinky bath, so I'm calling it good!
I then took the interstate back home and even stopped for gas for the first time!
That's my story!
