Wait, is there a requirement that our rigs have to be clean in order to go to the GTG? :? I might be in trouble
I am seriously interested in staying behind on Monday and heading down towards Gettysburg for a couple of days....Will we have time to decide for sure after arrival on Friday?

When it comes to housework, anybody can put me to shame! Outside, I can do a lick, but in here------unh-unh! I so hate all the householdy types of things, like laundry, dishes, vacuuming, straightening up, weeding out 'stuff', ACK!!!!

Campfire sitting has always appealed to me from the time I was a tiny little girl sitting around a fire at our old camp on the Farmington River in CT. I always got such a wonderful feeling, sitting with the grownups, singing some songs, toasting some marshmallows, and listening to the screech owls in the trees across the river. I knew right then and there that camping was the life for me, and it always has been. The day I graduated from college, I drove myself and my German Shepherd dog, Midnight, up here to the Adirondacks with my army canvas tent and whatever else I figured I would need to set up a camp in the woods. A good friend of mine from Boston joined me. I lived in that tent for 6 months of the year for three years before it fell apart!

I would like to know the number of the fires I have sat around over the years, and be able to recall all those campsites deep in the woods and all the people who shared those fires with me, ......many of whom are no longer alive. Some have been more memorable and spectacular than others, but all have been the best pieces of my life.

Cruppers up, I say, with a toast of a Bud Light!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

 No, a clean rig is not manditory for the GTG... It's just we've been sitting for awhile and since we're leaving for GA on the 30th, need to get it done sooner or later... might as well be sooner.... ;) That would be great, Tina, that you want to visit Gettysburg for a few days after the GTG....shouldn't be any problem here at the campground as it's pretty quiet during the week...we can talk more Friday.......... ;)

Thanks for offering The Sultan's expertise! Now to think about what to pick up from the store before I pull in....yeah, I can always drive back to town...but if I don't need to :) The pups are trying to remember that, "You have to potty on a leash," rule......They end up remembering but sometimes it take a day or to to remember..... Also re-evaluating place/storage of stuff...you never know until you have to use it every day or a couple of times a day......

Will sit around here for another hours or so, be sure the pups have one more walkie...and off we will go. Oh, and I really was surprised but please when Kevin Skinner won America's Got Talent last night..... Talk about American Dreams!!!!

Here we come Ferryboat Campground!

Glad he won, but Barbara Padilla was awesome, too. I am at SP with
no TV signal but will have it recorded to watch when I get home tomorrow.

Lenora,..... did you do a channel scan for your tv? Is your tv digital? And did you crank up and change the direction of your antenna? Good luck,..there HAS to be some reception out there somehow!

I have the converter box on this tv. Yes I did the scan and the two channels it stopped for said to turn antenna to try to get a signal but that produced nothing.

Marda, it is called Paradise Point. Beautiful scenery etc. Sights are big but old and blacktopped. Most not too even. People have out there satellite dishes. Alas I don't own one. ;) I'll be breaking camp here soon.

Lenora, I so happy to hear that the shake down trip is so successful. You will always be learning something on each trip, that all the fun of going. I usually keep some dvds in the camper. They are mostly ones that I have seen before and wouldn't mind seeing again sometime, and a few paperbacks as well.

Soos, I hear you on the cleaning. What a wasted effort, clean- it gets dirty- clean- it gets dirty, etc. I usually do surface cleaning and eventually get to a thorough cleaning one room at a time, that way I'm not overwhelmed with the horrible chore. :D

Everyone going to the PA GTG drive safely. Linda
