Soose, I had a wonderful poodle named Sugarlump, who we lost in Nov. of 2007. I didn't want another dog because I was grieving too hard for Suggie. After 9 months of grieving, I finally came to the time (with the help of Suggie in a dream) where I wanted another dog. My cousin had chis and I wanted a small dog so I called him to see if he was planning to breed his mama dog. He told me that they were expecting babies in a week. So I was in on the birth, nursing, first eating, first opening of her eyes, etc. When we drove to get her in close to Houston and she came out, I nearly died, she was so TINY. The mama had 5 puppies and Emma was the only Chocolate Chi and the only female in the whole group. He gave her to me. Emma took to traveling right off, no crying or anything on the way home. When we took a potty break, she took her potty break too. It was so cute. She never whined or cried for her mother or brothers.
Sorry, don't know if there are others. We took Emma to puppy training classes (beginning and intermediate) so that she could be socialized properly. My vet told me on a scale of 1-10 Emma was an 11. She is such a loving, snuggle bug and follows her mama everywhere.
Emma is a chocolate chihuahua. Weighs 6 pounds and is 14 months old.
