Streets & Trips 2010

..
I received and played a little with the 2010 version of Streets & Trips.

I was underwhelmed. Uploading the route to my Nuvi 750 had the same issues I had several days ago with GPSBabel - it changed the route (it didn't recognize the 'avoid' areas I used to force S&T to go the way I wanted it to go.) I came up with a workaround that should work whenever the same problem arises, but it's too bad I had to. You can upload either the entire route or just the waypoints. When you upload, the default is using MSN Live (or whatever that is), so you have to manually check the USB option. I cannot find a way to make the USB the default. Just annoying to me.

The way you zoom in has changed, and although it will take a while to get used to, I think it'll ultimately be better.

The look is black - too much black. Don't like it.

I haven't found anything else much different yet. Still playing with it.
I shoulda saved my money.

ummm, I've been thinking about getting this so I can check
out maps, routes, etc in the evening when my atlas and maps
are outside in my RT. Local stores probably still have older
version. Maybe I will check on it this afternoon.

Don't get me wrong - the new version is just fine. I was disappointed in its ability to transfer the routes to my Nuvi.
It's a fine program otherwise. And the 2010 version supposedly has a different map provider (and newer maps).
I wouldn't recommend getting an older version...
