Moving Tribute

Postby sharon » Fri Sep 11, 2009 6:31 pm

I received this today....a very moving tribute to 911. When I received it, I didn't realize what the date today was, even tho my daughter's birthday was yesterday, the 10th. I tend to get wrapped up in my own problems and day to day living and forget about important events happening around me.

Yeah, it's pretty sad.

For myself, I remember it all to clearly and don't care to 'look back'. I do keep all the surviving families uplifted in prayer.

Sharon, my son's birthday was on the 10th! He turned the big 4-oh! :o

Believe it or not, those attacks led me to God...not worth the almost 3,000 lives and all the resulting changes to our world, but a little bit of good came out of it, for me, anyway.

So did my daughter, Lenora. I look at her and remember when she was a 5 pound newborn, now she's 40 and I can't believe that I have a daughter that old! She's still tiny, 5ft and 95# soaking wet. She came out yelling and she hasn't stopped in 40 years.....I keep thinking she'll get tired, but I guess not! Love her to pieces, tho!

My son is 6' 4 and some change. Very calm and methodical, although loves high risk sports. He's a Capt. in the Air Force. Emergency Doctor. Right now he's embedded at a foreign military camp in a foreign country. I know the general area he's in but he moves around allot. Scary stuff, but so is Al Qaeda.
