Aw, he's so gorgeous. But looked scared to death...poor baby...
Hopefully, the more he travels, the more he'll get used to it.

Great job getting propane and then backing it in....I know you were proud. That sure is a beautiful rv. I'm looking forward to hearing about your first camping trip too. Hopefully that cute little diggie will start to look forward to going when she associates the rv with the fun you'll have. Roe can't stand to see mine leave the yard without him in it. Now, Bandit the cat could care less, but he became a pretty good traveler too.

Carold, thought you guys had a diesel. Why don't you use the truck bays? I even use them in Az where it costs me 5 cents a gal more, but it's worth 5 bucks to me not to have to hassle at the regular pumps. I've also found in the midwest that most of the small towns on the 2 lane roads either have a set of truck pumps or the islands for the cars are set sideways so it's pull in and pull straight out w/o a tight turn around cars. The truck stop in Ehrenburg, Az has an rv pump, but if a car parks just a little wrong, it's hard to make the turn to get out, so I don't even fuel there, I go on in to Ca and fuel at the truck stop in Blythe. And I hear you about not getting close enough for the hose to reach, you're so worried about getting to close to where you can't make the turn to get out, you can't back up 'cause you're towing and pretty soon you've got yourself so freaked out you couldn't get out if you had an acre to do it in!

Poor little Choco! Not a happy-looking camaper, is he??

Let us know how the drugs work, and, as so many others have said, short little outings with some fun at the end of the 'voyage' might make him able to anticipate and associate FUN with the car trip!

The thought of finding a gas station I can manoever around in when I first take to the roads has always been scary for me, although I now know, mostly, where the stations around here are that I can use without panicking. I worry about the highways when I finally get to head south on my first long road trip. Happy to hear I'm not the only one who worries about things like this!

great that you got to take her for a spin, but poor little Choco, My cocker spanial,
(rip Cinder) used to get car sick too but she was a real trooper, would actually be
the first one in the car but she would climb in the back seat, sit backwards on the
floor so she didn't see the movement. She was fine that way, had solved her own
dilema cause she refused to get left behind.
Perhaps Choco needs to spend alot of hours in the motorhome without it moving
so he can get used to his new surroundings. My heart goes out to you and Choco
and hope you find a solution soon so he can enjoy your trip as well.

Sharon, we have gas, and I did notice at the Flying J in Tampa that they had gas at truck pumps as well as diesel, so if I'm driving that might be an option. I never think TGM has enough maneuvering room, but he always manages so I guess I just have to learn to judge better. Maybe find a big parking lot and use those knock down orange thingees to practice. Oops, sorry Little Missy, didn't mean to hijack your thread :( carold

Lenora, that is some look Choco is giving you. I wonder how long it took him to master it? LOL

Mitch, your little beast is too cute in the car seat. Does he/she always turn his/her head like that. Too cute. linda

Aw, thanks! You're not MEAN like other people around here!
She turns her head like that when I sound like I'm going to ask her a question.
Until I did that for this picture this morning, she wouldn't even look at me!
Hey, maybe I should send her to Louisiana for Vickie, since they're both brats???
Hmmmmmm....

I posted Abby's picture to show what she uses to help her not get car sick (makes her high enough to see out)!
And then YOU had to go and post a bear, which in your mind, bore some uncanny resemblance to my dog????

Jeez, the nerve of some people's kids...
