Direct TV

I have a question. As many of you know we are getting ready to go on an 11 week road trip. My question: does anyone know if you can put your Direct TV on suspension for that length of time or would it be better to totally cancel and start new when we get back? Thanks

From what I've read over on RV.NET, you can suspend. If you cancel, something will get screwed up for sure. And, you would have to pay for that installation because you wouldn't be a "new" customer. Certainly worth a phone call to directv.

ON EDIT: Just found a link that will tell you what you need to know:

You can suspend it for so many days per year. I think up to a total of six months. We have Direct TV in our RV and suspend it when not using it. And when you call to have it turned back on it happens right away.

Thanks for your replies. I will call Tuesday and arrange for the suspension on our service.
