Shopping for RV stuff.

I agree, some Wal*Mart stores have larger RV supply sections and some don't. We have bought hoses, couplings, chemicals and sewer hoses there. We have a 20' sewer hose and we like the "clear view" connection on the RV end of the hose so you can tell when the water flow is done. I'd also suggest at least 25' of fresh water hose and carry a spare 10' section. Some Rv parks put you close to your connections and some are not. It's better to have more onboard than less! At some stores you can also buy replacement water filters. I would suggest you also have onboard one of the good solid brass water pressure regulators with a gauge. Most RV parks aren't a problem but we have run into a few that have 90# of pressure, which can damage your water hose! Be sure you have a spare hose gaskets onboard -- it's pretty easy to have one get lost and you won't be able to establish a non-leaking connection to a faucet without one! To make connecting to your RV easier with the fresh water hose -- the quick connect type hose ends to attach to your RV are really great. Just be sure they are secure and made of brass. The plastic ones don't hold up too long.

I don't believe I've seen the clear sewer connectors. Only black or orange. Sounds like a good item. You can buy them separate?

Yes, you can buy them separate...I have 2, for when I make my first dump at a public dump station!

I can't tell you how much stuff I bought for that chore before I really knew what I needed/wanted - I had a hard time grasping that whole process, and am obviously still afraid of it, never having dumped in a public place before! I found something out in the garage today that's still in its package. I have used my rubber donut, though. I think I got both of my clear things at Amazon. I'm not a big fan of Camping World. I read somewhere the clear was good, so I got the little, angled one. Then read somewhere else that the longer, clear, straight one was better, so got it, too.

I would like to look at the heavy-duty Rhino hose thing. That's sounds like a good thing, to me.

Mitch, I bought the ez bayonet kit similar to rhino. All pieces screw together,no clamps. I really don't want the see through piece I don't mind dumping the tanks but I don't care to watch it happen. Have a "dump your tanks" class at the Tn gtg it really isn't a big deal. My first cg by myself, I walked around checking out everyones sewer hookup. I don't tell everyone that story.
