My scaffolding with no railings makes me too dizzy to use for very long, what with that labyrinthitis I still have and can manage usually ok on wide, solid ground. My stepladder gets me sort of up there, with something to hold onto, but I still need to do most of the painting from the balcony deck with head between slats.
Tomorrow, if weather is still good, I will tackle the brown parts of the entire deck and balcony. I have no clue how I will ever paint that scalloped peak of the roof which desperately needs scraping and orange paint. I can reach just a smidgeon of it from the balcony, but it is too far far forward for me to get to via a ladder on balcony deck. I suppose I can get a huge, tall ladder and go up from the front deck. As soon as I upload these pics, I am headed to a much-needed hot bath!

Orange diagonals on front deck I painted first. Snow fence gets in the way, but my lights are interwoven in that so I don't want to take it down. I will keep it up on top rail for winter so I can shovel snow off under the rails.
