I'll take a Carolyn Cooler! Don't know what's in a Mimosa (sheltered country girl that I am), don't like tomato juice so I'll pass on the Bloody Mary.

You Southerners have not been properly introduced to the Sunday Brunch beverage of choice...MIMOSA - a lovely mixture of champagne and orange juice...

OMG, count me in on SEVERAL Carolyn Coolers. Of course it will have to be a day where I'll just end up lying on my hammock next to the fire. Hey I like where this is going. I'll host a breakfast morning of omlets in "boilable" bags w/mimosas and Carolyn Coolers. How does that sound? Oh, I'm getting ahead of myself, more on that later. :P :P

Hmmm, I'm for dragging out this retirement celebration for a loooong time. Really enjoying those mimosas and want that recipe for eggs in a bag (sounds easy, just my speed :D ). Mitch, are you SURE mimosas are a southern thing-that picture has no grits in it    carold

No, it's NOT a Southern thing - very few Southerners I've met have never heard of Mimosas, nor gone to a big, beautiful Sunday Brunch...oh, what they're missing!

And I second your vote to drag the retirement thing out! :) Maybe every GTG should start by paying Homage to Retirement with a Carolyn Cooler...(I better get cuttin' on getting those proportions right - it's 5:00 somewhere...)

ON EDIT: Grits on a Sunday Brunch buffet?????????

Oh, no they can't - my little beast would be scared to death of them! :o
And then I'd have to get a cat. :(
Oh, well - what's a few more...we have hundreds, if not thousands, in the fields around here.
And every year, several find their way into the garage, the storage room, and the upstairs bonus room.
I hate those destructive little bas...well, suffice to say, I'm not fond of mice.

DANG IT!!!

Coffee all over this keyboard again when I spotted that little sex-fiend mouse!!! Gotta go get a cloth and some more coffee now! Guess I need to hide my computer mice at night, eh? Lord knows I don't want any mouse-making going on in here while I'm peacefully sleeping in the trailer!

Ah the traditions this TN GTG can establish...... I can hardly wait. The required celebration of retirement...anyones at any time past or future....have to keep the dream alive for all..... A traditional tribal drink named after a southern TN goddess, the mystery foods dedicated to the road travel gods, the campfire dance (without bar stools per Soos' recommendation), a sacred goblet, the secret handshake..... We so bad.... but fun

Just got back from standing out in the sun at the Darke County Fair for 6 hours judging 4-H obedience..... I remembered to wear sun screen and a small hat this time....large floppy hats could scare pup pups..... Wonderful young people... as Cedar observed..... there are many talented, well mannered young people in this world, especially when you are working a 4-H show site. I especially enjoy watching the Junior Fairboard members, who play leadership roles in planning and running the various project areas and livestock shows. Lots of good life skills being demonstrated.....

Now all my own pup pups are sniffing the ankles and feet and trying to figure out why I would come home with all these good smells and not have taken them to the fair?

I am not moving far off the couch tonight...keeping the feet up and resting....
Tina and the furry companions...Lark, Audrey and Jane
