Flamingos for Jennie

Postby asirimarco » Sat Aug 22, 2009 5:52 pm

I made some privacy curtains for Jennie - Just plain blue - ick then I remembered some flamingo material at the quilt shop just up the road. Called them and they still had some in stock so ran up and got a piece. Think they add just the right touch.
Also while digging around looking for stuff to supply her I found my CD of RV Songs 4 You - Waltzing Thru WalMart - is my favorite. Funny stuff.
more pictures of what we've done on the blog. Bill says he is DONEI'll believe it when he starts staying out of her. He checked the blog and says I missed a couple of things so will have to add them next time.

I still have some material left so will have to figure out what to do with it. Pillows maybe.

well aren't those cute! my vote for the left over fabric would be pillows too, unless you
decide to make matching dash cover with it or seat top covers, armrest covers, so much
could do with it but guess I'll stop at pillows, so forget I said all that other stuff

Those are really cute. I like what you did. I also like the way your curtain fits by your seats. Mine is on snaps on the back of the side pieces - works, but I like the way yours hangs straight. Course it's the way I store things that probably keeps mine from hanging straight :)

Great jobs on Jennie. Will you still be towing a car when you take Jennie to Mexico?

Very nice. Really - do your talents know no bounds?
You have more talent in your little finger than I have in my entire body (which is ample. It, too, knows no bounds! :o )

Thanks - its fun to do. Lets see - first yes, we will still tow the jeep. ordered and recieved a new tow bar - Excalibar - for Jennie. That will make finding places in small towns harder but still give us more freedom to do things.
The recliner is not anchored to floor. Right now using a type of sure grip pad on the feet of it. Will see how that works. Might have to rethink things when we get moving.
I just velcroed the curtain to the ledge around the used-to-be bunk area. It extend all the way around to close off the front side windows too.

I love what you and Bill have done to Jennie. When you meet Karen, you may end up missing that flamingo fabirc.  I'll have to go back and see how you did the glass tile. Did that add much weight? Did you put the dry erase board up? If you did, what a great idea.

The refrig/freezer came with the dry erase board - but it would be easy to do - in fact will probably add that to Alfie.
The weight of the tiles should not make much difference - it's not that many.
