Okay, I'm up before the crack of dawn .....Have to take FIL in for a medical test this AM....early... So, having a few minutes, I'll start the day for all of you.....Have the coffee going and goodies to munch on while surfing here today....I really can't do the re-cap of things like Zee can, so this will be short....Do want to say that we haven't heard from a few folks lately.............Beth, Liz, and Soos.....Where are you??? Hope you check in soon....

Good morning Lori....thanks for getting the coffee on in our kitchen!

MIAs.... Beth is traveling to the Grand Canyon to join Sparkle and Echo working at the lodge,... Liz is with family in NH, and Soos is recovering from hostessing the fantastic ORS GTG at her place. I'm sure we'll hear from them soon.

It's a much cooler and clear morning here. Good to have that horrible humidity and heat gone. I know for some in the south it's routine but for us here in the north it's unusual. I don't have any a/c in the house and only one floor fan. Can you spell r-e-l-i-e-f?

In a couple hours I'll be rolling down the road again. I'll be at the Upper Hudson Bluegrass Festival http://www.upperhudsonbluegrassfestival.com/about.php in North Creek, NY. ( I've got to practice what Mitch showed us in Reann's thread. )

So I'm off to get some b'fast and fill the fresh water in the camper and get my clothes in,... also the laptop, etc. Catch you all from North Creek, hopefully my air card will find a signal.

good morning ladies, thanks for the coffee and opening the kitchen, the desert
is still having high temps but at least the mornings are cool when I let the dogs out.
I'm so ready for it all to cool off, the heat does get intolerable at times.
Wishing I had some traveling in my future but for now I can only dream. Someday
it will happen.
Off to view new posts a bit and then I need to get ready for work. Have a great

Good morning everyone we had more storms yesterday evening and during the night but not so severe AND it is gloriously cool and not humid out today!!!
Cedar glad it's cooled off for you I know it must feel worse when you aren't used to it but humidity is something I don't think one ever gets used to, at least I never have after all these years in the mid west.
I finally gave in and purchased a new iPhone it does way more things than I can believe. I'll have to do online lessons plus enlist the assistance of my friends son. Kids seem to just know exactly what buttons to push. The perk that pushed me over the edge was I got a temporary number to use for 30 days, that way I didn't have to cancel my Verizon account until I see how the reception is on AT&T and if I really like the phone...then if I take it can transfer my real cell number over, like there is any doubt I will like it. I think the reception is main thing in this area,the Verizon coverage is supposed to be better. So, having fun playing with it and thinking about all the accessories. There is a solar powered thing that you can put in the car and you can answer calls hands free and then it automatically switches back to tunes or book you are listening too which can also be heard on your car radio. Way cool stuff but a bit pricey.

Having company tonight to play Mexican Train dominoes so need to get a dessert in mind, we talk more than we play and it's always a good time, no die hard players to get upset when we loose track of whose turn it is.

I just lost my from-the-heart message about my horror at discovering the loss of Barbzee, along with all my other sentiments and words this morning, so this will short and sweet as I have run out of patience.

Barb will be missed terribly. Nobody will be able to fill her shoes. Love to you and to your family, Barb, and we all hope you can come back to us soon. Especially when you get your new knees. We will keep you in our hearts as you face the inevitable with your little 4-footers. Much love to you and your family, both 2-footers and 4-footers.

I have been AWOL due to the wonderful ORS group who graced me with their presence for the 4th Annual Adirondack Ruckus in the Mountains GTG. What a wonderful time they made for me! For anyone interested, although I realize it's a different forum, Liz, Carol, Cedar, and I were there, and you might be interested in seeing the pics, I will put a link to the icky slideshow I made (which I hope to be able to fix and change when my patience returns) in here. You can ignore this link, or take a look at the party we had!

I will need time to catch up on all the goings on, when the weather worsens or rains----right now I have a ton to do outside. Hope you all have a great day doing something fun!

Morning all. Well, it's a good things we can plan in jello. We are going to have to cut our meanderings short. No Mountain Home, AK for 2 weeks to visit friends and no week in NC to see GK's (unless we go later). SIL called and needs help with MIL. So, we are off on a direct, fast trip to Tampa from CO-about 1600 miles. Hopefully things will work out and we can get back to GK's for all the September birthdays. As many of you know, dealing with deteriorating health of someone you love is not easy, especially when they fight to keep their independence (which I would do also). So thankfully this lifestyle allows us this latitutde.

It sure is odd not having Barbz morning greeting. Hopefully we will keep this area for am greetings, coffee and delicacies, even if we have to read all the posts ourselves Well, time to pull up stakes and get a move on-we have a ways to go and the days of 24 hr non-stop roadtrips are way in the past. carold

Good Morning ladies. It's a hot, humid one here today. No word from the rv door manufacturer yesterday, maybe today. Soos, great pics from your ORS Ruckus, thanks for sharing. I keep checking Beth's blog, thinking she said she was going to update before getting to Grand Canyon. To all who have medical appointments, hope things go good. To those of you traveling, I'm jealous, but have a safe trip. To those of you resting, ahhhh, take a nap for me! I'm off to read posts.

Well, it is almost too late for Good Morning but thought I'd check in anyway.

It was good to sleep in my own bed again. Only bad part was phone waking me around 7:00 AM after getting to bed so late last night. I think I'm happier to have Nicky back home than he is to be here. Don't know what he's been eating past month as he was passed around between two friends and vet, but he has gained weight he doesn't need. Think they have been spoiling him. My sister does not have fenced yard nor is she one to tolerate animal in house, especially right now.
After so many weeks off, it is going to take me a while to catch up with everyone. Will miss Zee greatly and want to wish her well. Also want to extend a big welcome to all the new members. I'll get over to read your intro over the next few days.
Have gotten my sister thru her last round of chemo and to pick up husband's ashes but not having much luck trying to get her to leave house otherwise. Was hoping she would come stay with me for a while but she wants to be in her house. Still having problem just getting her to get out of bed; it is so hard to try to decide when and how much to push or just back off under the circumstances.
I have so much to do just to catch up on my stuff, don't know where to start today. I've been up for 5 hours and most of that time on phone. Guess I'd better get started on some other tasks or will loose the entire day.

Good Morning

I see that we have already had a shower this morning and I can hear the thunder so might have more rain. Our ponds are down a lot from little rain and the hot weather. It hasn't made it to 90 yet but will soon if it doesn't rain.

Our cats are having a rough week. The horse stepped on one of the barn cat's tail and the vet had to take part of it off. She still has about 6 inches but he clipped it so it looks like a possum tail. Now if she will just leave it alone and let it heal. I took one of the house cats for her shots yesterday and they kicked her butt. She went to sleep on the bed and I don't think she got up all night. This morning she got up and got a drink and back on the bed. This time of day she is usually out terrorizing the bugs in the yard.

Soos, liked your slide show of your GTG. Looks like everyone had a good time.

Carold, sorry you have to cut your trip short. I spent an hour last night reading your blog. Your DH cracks me up with some of the things he comes up with.

Our power went off for 2 hours and surprise, my message is still here. I will be surprised if it posts.
