Hi from New Hampshire

Just a quick intro. I am from southwestern New Hampshire, married with an empty nest except for two Sheltie canine girls. We lost a little canine boy just 12 days ago so life is a bit rough right now. He was just 6 years old and just the cutest little man. RVing full time is our dream for retirement, but DH is not in good health and it will be difficult for us to be away from his DR full time. There is always hope!! Right now we have a 26 ft Rockwood which we love pulled with a Tundra double cab. We do not get out as much as we would like to, but do as often as we can.

I have been looking around the posts and see a lot of names I am familiar with from another group I am on and look forward to getting to know the rest of you. I would love to hear from others who have work camped especially on the east coast. My goal is to do that at least for 4-6 months a year and travel the rest or possibly find positions in areas that I really want to see. I still have another 6 yr 4 months to go to retire then I am off hopefully with DH or by myself if I am alone by then. I have always had wanderlust and love to travel.

Hi Deb, welcome to our group! I don't think I've ever known anyone from NH so this is a neat thing! So sorry you lost your little man, I'm sure having the girls helps some, keeps you busy I'm sure. I have 2 doggies and you'll find lots of animal lovers here, we love to see pics of them also. Actually pics of any sort! and unfortunately soon to be only 2, but we do love our critters thats for sure.

I'm so glad you joined us,.... we like to think this is the best group in the whole wide world! Lots of friends here from all over the country, and Canada too. You aren't far away from me here in the Adirondacks of northern NY,... Perhaps we can get together in the future. We have a member in MA,... so maybe a New England/New York GTG for next summer might be something to think about.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I was just looking around at the posts on other boards trying to get a feel for everyone.

A little more about me. I am a crafter doing just about anything that takes my fancy, except quilting. I am trying to find something that I can settle on to take on the road with me when the time comes that I can full time. I have stained glass tools and supplies, counted cross stitch supplies, doll house miniatures, a huge victorian doll house and supplies to make all sorts of things for it. tole painting books, paints and yes supplies to do it. I have started making jewelry, but I have to research it to DEATH before I really start doing it. Oh, I did canine agility with two of my furbabies for about 4 years. It seems that when I find something I want to do I manage about 3-4 years before I lose interest or need a break and put it on the back burner. My DH just would love it if I found a hobby that didn't cost an arm or a leg and I could make money doing it. I tell him it ain't happening.

Our next trip will be labor day weekend- off to Maine for 5 days. We love to go over and just veg out, walk the beach in the evening when we can take the kids down. Gotta have lobsta while we are there and my all time fav is lobsta stew. All that cream, lobsta and crackers yum!!! Another 10 pounds on the back side of life.

The week after that my best friend and I are off to the Brimfield Antique Flea Market in Brimfield MA. It is one of the largest in the country and may even be the oldest. They hold it three weeks a year in May, July & Sept. We went down in July and had so much fun just sitting around and chatting which with my work schedule and her busy life, and the fact that she lives 25 miles away, we do not get to just chat to often. We left furbabies, husbands home and went by ourselves. I can't wait until I can get on the road and hopefully meet up with other women who are traveling alone. One of the things I would love to do is hit the longest yard sale in the country. It would be so much fun to see what people have stashed away from long ago when I was a young person, you remember that - I sometimes get a faint flash. LOL!!!

HI, DEB, and hugs for the loss of your little 4-footer. I know only too well how devastating that can be. Hug your others all you can, as they are so short lived compared to us (hopefully, anyway)

Maine is beautiful! Have a wonderful beach trip there!
