Heading South

Postby Bethers » Sun Aug 16, 2009 6:17 pm

I've had not enough time to update my blog in over a week - so will be awhile before it's caught up.

BUT - I need to inform those I had hoped to see on the west coast - that this year I will not be able to do so :( So much wanted to, also. Instead, I left AK a little earlier than I had originally intended, am now in Canada and headed south. I'm going straight down to the Kaibab Lodge on the North Rim on the Grand Canyon and am going to work out the rest of their season with them (end of October). Needless to say, I think I've spent more than I'll earn - but getting a tad of income will be welcome. I'm lucky in that I'm stopping before I leave Canada to visit with 2 ladies who wintered in PA with me last year - one who was my "housekeeping" partner there. Will be at their place sometime tomorrow.

I'll be working long hours there (I suspect) but only for 2 months. I'll also not have a lot of online time again. Ah, I'm getting used to that. Just miss keeping up with all the posts.

For those following my blog - after I get in the lower 48 I intend to sit someplace for a couple days and catch my breath. At that time, I'll also catch up there - lots to still share of my Alaska adventure.

Hey, Beth - enjoy your stint with Sparkle & Gang. Hopefully, you'll not have to work so many hours you can't have some laughs with them!

Anyone know how Echo is doing healthwise?

Beth, I've loved reading your blog. My question: will Kaibab Lodge be able to handle you and Sparkle and Echo all at once? What a trip!
