Let's start our day with a good morning here.

ITS SUNDAY

Postby avalen » Sun Aug 16, 2009 7:43 am

good morning ladies,
Coffee is dripping, bread is in the toaster and I've got fresh bananas for
breakfast, enjoy. The mornings are getting so fresh these days makes it
easy to get out there and pick up the yard. I like this time of year for that
reason, at least out here in the desert.
Lots of gtg goin on and ya'll are having fun, so post when ya can and don't
forget the pictures. I'm not doing much today, little bit of laundry left over
from yesterday and tidy up the livingroom. Have a great day and be safe.

Mornin' y'all. Not much going on here in Silver City. I'm working this morning, helping with the breakfast from 8 to 9. We have a group (10 rigs) from Good Sams this weekend so we're actually busy. Its been really slow this year here - guess people aren't spending any more than they have to. The people who live right behind the park have acquired a rooster. Now don't get me wrong, I like roosters BUT this damn one gets up a around 3:30 am and doesn't shut up for hours. Good thing its still too warm for chicken soup.

The weather report said to prepare for the humidity to start back this week here in SW Ohio. Judged obedience at the Miami County 4-H dog show yesterday. I had the dogs and kids who were showing for the first time. The performances are usually rough that first year. There is so much to learn. My job is to let the handlers know what areas they need to work on with out crushing them....... Most of them still need much of the basics but I can usually find enough to get them to smile. These at least are the kids that showed up to show. Many first year kids, start the obedience work realize how hard it is and don't even show up at fair to participate! 4-H is so much more than the ribbons..... It gives a child so many opportunities to learn life skills and ppublic speaking and decision making and leadership. Of course, my pups are trying to get me motivated to do something with them today. Herschel came down with another allergy attack of the ear from the scummy pond water earlier in the week.... sign. Maybe Izzy would like to learn how to kayak! If I remember not to send the kayak into the front window again.... Need to pay some bills and check on some future plans and schedules and need to get out of this chair and move before it gets too warm out there. Hope everyone is enjoying their GTGs...... Off to find some trouble to get into....

Good Morning All! Already hot and humid here, 11:30am and 90degrees. It's supposed to be 40% chance of rain today, but I sure would like to get the yard mowed, because it's supposed to be more as the week goes on. Okay, , let's keep an eye out for TD4 headed towards FL panhandle and AL! Praying that it stays small and only brings a little extra rain and that's it. The company we've been working with on Hommie's lift is in Pensacola. Finally got with him last week, he faxed me pics of lift, called back went over measurements, he contacted Keystone RV, they emailed him CAD (I think that's right) basically blueprint of rv and will make a wide door to install on side of garage area to match perfectly with walk-thru door already on rv. Even matching down to the graphics they said,, whoo hoo. That should be the only thing to delay the time line for the install, the lift can be installed in 4-6 hours provided no problems arise. Still trying to get final details done and put down payment to get the ball rolling, hopefully this week that can be taken care of. I keep checking on site 41 at the TN campground and so far it's still open, so who knows,, it's still possible. Should find out this week how long it will take for that door to get made and shipped. Keep fingers crossed yall!

Also, let me mention that other than this development for us, I'm hoping that the TD4 and Ana and Bill do not do anything bad for any of us, I know BluePineCones is in AL and right at the moment without looking it up, I'm thinking there are a few more. Not sure about where you FL people are located, but let us know so we can keep up to date and not worry as much. I used to not even give things like this a second thought, now, as they roll off of Africa I'm watching them.

I saw Beth on around midnight last night, just for a short and she posted in the intro thread so I checked her blog this morning hoping to see an update, but it's pretty much the same except for some comments. Hopefully she is now at an area where she will be able to connect and give us an update. How bout cha Beth? Got yer ears on?

This morning I had to rob my motorhome to get some coffee because I was too pooped to go to the grocery store yesterday. Talk about shop till you drop. I went to Baton Rouge yesterday with a friend to bring her step-daughter and go shopping. I had to take an Aleve to make the trip home. We use to go and not make it home until mid-night. Can't do that anymore.

Vicki, I'm with you on the tropical storms. Hope they don't affect us or anyone. We watch them roll off the coast of Africa and come barreling across the Atlantic. If one makes it into the gulf we will be loading up equipment and moving vehicles to town. This is really getting old. Need to get my paper work filed so I will know what boxes I need to move. After Rita I had a box of wet tax papers to dry out. That's a lot of fun.
