Part of growing up on the farm was always..."Woodchucks are a dangerous for farm animals, i.e. cows & horses can break legs in their holes in the ground...and also hard on farm equipment when doing the haying...can tip wagons over hitting those holes. Also they love to raise heck with you veggie garden." said my Dad.....so, our summer shooting practice was at Mr. Woodchuck...we never ate them....so don't know how they taste....trapping would work, but be prepared to have his brother, sister, mother, father, wife, and kids in the yard, too.....fill any burrow holes you find to help keep the population down......Okay, I'm done with the "down on the farm" advice on getting rid of woodchucks...
