I mentioned we got a new RV - so thought I'd share it with you all. We got a Class C Fleetwood Jamboree 30' 1997 with only 17,000 miles on it. I've posted more about it and lots of pictures on my blog. http://www.roamingtheusa.blogspot.com
Oops The Driver is calling to me to come help him with something later.

;) Added some pictures of the work that is done so far - again they are on the blog.

..

Holy Crap - George got mad when a kitten followed me home!!!

It's pretty cool. And it can really go places where Alfie can't? Because they both look so big.
Would you let my little rig ride along in your closet? :)

And how nice that you have a handy hubby...not only handy, but appears to really enjoy it!

Congratulations!

The "new one" - haven't named it yet....thought about short s**t - Bill says shortcake - naw... have to think about it.
Any way she is 10 feet shorter than Alfie and not near as tall. Alfie is known to have taken out a few over the road power lines in her time in Mexico - Bill is happier than a pig in slop with all his new projects. Lowes here we come.....

Exciting, can't wait for updates. Dumb question, but how do you fasten things onto the wall/roof, where it's strong/sturdy to stay, but not poke holes through to the outside. I think I would have booboo bandaids all over the place!

Wow,... certainly making headway already on your mods. That is one georgous rig for 12 years old. With the low milage and the appearance I will agree that It is hardly used at all. Nice deal.

Can't wait to see all those things finished,.... You GO Bill!

OOOOOO, Carol.......she's so cute!!!! Gosh, Bill sure has lots to keep him busy... but all the remodel plans sound wonderful!!! Being shorter works for us, too....as we can go places that other larger 5ers can't....keep us posted when things come together there with the improvements.... ;)

Carol, my how you lucked out. The MH looks great and with all your hubby is doing, it will be great. I think the height is the key. You will definitely be able to go more places and get into more places. Enjoy the new MH. Linda

Wow! That is a nice motor home. Looks very well taken care of. Reminds me of George and MsTioga. It should be fun to have something smaller so you can check out off the road places.

We expect to get to some out of the way places in it. Our first trip will be as soon as we have all the remodeling done. Someone mentioned the mileage - it will probably be pretty to close to what we're getting in Alfie. Somewhere between 8.5 and 10 - but won't know for sure until we take it out.

Wow! Carol your new rig is great. I have started making a to do list. I really like the linen cupboard. A question- would the glass tiles for a back splash come loose with travel (coach body flexing)? Second question - do you rent your husband :D

Sure just come visit with a list of things to do - he loves to keep busy.
the tiles he put up he used "Power Grab" a silicone adheisive instead of tile cement. It will give as we move. Lots of RVs have tile backsplashes.
Today he is putting shelves in the bedroom and front cupboards and replacing the curtain between hall and bedroom with an accordian door.

:) Carol, I was kidding about the husband rental. Just what a man needs another honey do list. I can't build cabinets but can put up tile on the back splash. I only have one side wall in my bathroom to attach a linen cabinet and not sure the back wall will hold a wood cabinet. I will be following your remodeling with interest. Thanks for the pictures.
