Sunshinecruiser (Carolyn) called me earlier this week about this GTG. Not sure if I'll be able to make it or not, but I'm trying to check out some TN campgrounds online. Carolyn's house-sitting and dog-sitting this weekend so it may be next week before she is back on the Forum. Our last TN GTG was in Crossville and it was a nice RV park, but we might try to find a different one this time. Stay tuned.

Margie sweetie, check out the other posts. A lot has developed since we talked. Those who can't come, send me your Skype info and we will have a joint session one night. It's not the same as being there but at least we can have a face to face. LOL

LOL - that's pretty funny. I was thinkin', "Man, a lot happens overnight around here!"
So, I guess I'll keep my reservation at Seven Points! :)

Reservation is in!!! Oct 6 thru Oct 9. Site 58. I agree, those pictures are beautiful. I love the trees and the water. I just hope that I love the "tree" referred to on site 58. I have no slides so that part was fine with me and I liked the part about full shade.... cooler for any 4 paws. I am only 22 feet long so I am hoping to be able to navigate any old tree, right? I also wanted to give myself space from the bathrooms and I didn't need the pull through! Oh so many decision, such is the adventure.

Of course you'll be able to navigate any ol' tree!!! (me, who takes 45 minutes to back into a spot with NO trees, says...) I HATE BACKING UP! HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT. I suck at it!

Oh boy, are we gonna have fun or what??? :)

Well, here we all are, so far. Notice there are still several blue (available) spots for our dates!

Never having done this before, what's the food situation? All meals on our own, or a night of get-together pot-luck or something else?

Oh Michelle, you are too good. Thanks for doing that. It would be good if we could fill the rest of the blue.

I was so going for 41.... till I noticed it was handicapped accessible....... And though I can use a cord to step down the 50 current to 30, I didn't want to take out someone who thought they needed 50. Oh yeah and check out site #3, I can hardly wait to see it in person, if I read right it was for vehicle length 20 ft........ :-) Now even I wasn't going to try to squeeze in there! The campground really does look beautiful. I haven't been around as much as many of you but it reminded me of the sites at Lake Jordan in NC. Trees and more trees and a wonderful hike, even if you never leave the campground for all the views!

Warn me regarding any need for potluck. Remember that I am the non cook, I bring "Stuff" but usually from the someone else's kitchen. Believe me, it is better that way! So..... I take assignments well, just don't wait for me to bring out any family secret dishes....!!!!!

Maybe when you check in, if 41 is not taken, you can ask to have it? The details of that site say that you shouldn't take it if you don't need it, unless it's the only one left when you make your reservation.

I'll bet there are no-shows because you only lose $10 to cancel ($30 if it's LAST minute). If it was ever necessary, I'd make an 'iffy' reservation if I was only going to lose ten bucks to cancel.

I was going to call today and ask if a person wanted to check in before the 3:00 check-in time, could you pay for the night before and not show up until say 10:00 the next morning. I didn't have to call because the 'rules' state that your paid reservation is held until check in time the day FOLLOWING your reservation. Man, that was pretty wordy...did it make sense? We used to do that with hotels all the time.

Carolyn, I'm not sure you saw my earlier question about food...is it every woman for herself, or are there maybe some group pass-a-dish meals?

We wish you were going, too!

Could you maybe get lost while driving?
Oh, wait - that would mean you'd have a bus load of kids and no parents. Na...
