Sounds like I would be the longest at 35' and an HHR toad. I've possibly got a Good Sam Rally in Louisville, KY in July ?? but that could be in jello. I sure am interested and am going to look for a navigator to go. I would like to take more than 1 month to do it but I would like to time coming back through New England during the fall.

Karen ,
I'm currently staying at Ferryboat cg in Liverpool PA which is only nabout an hour away from Lancaster - the sort of center of Amish country. Nice place, if a little pricier than state parks. They give discounts for groups, AARP and AAA, that I know about, there may be others. Central to lots of attractions and pretty views. I might be interested in this trip and if we are a group I might now tow(assuming I've mastered that by then) I've been told I should see Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and I forget, are they on the itenerary?. I also really want to see Maine, especially Acadia National Park which is in the Bar Harbor area. I wouldn't stay with you for the Dakota portion though.

Prince Edward Island is definitely on the list. I was a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables.

Yes, when I read the Anne of Green Gables' books and her other books, I always thought of the island as another character, it was so much a part of the story telling. My MIL was in her 80's when I found out she had a passion for the stories also and I gave her the whole sack of the stories to reread. And reread she did!

Looks like trip probably won't happen. I did a rough estimate of just fuel costs - $2,000 - Yikes. My friend Carole doesn't think she can afford it so no one to split the travel costs with. I just don't want to make that long of a trip alone - more fun with two to go sightseeing along the way.

Anyone out there with no RV who might like to be my co-pilot? Doesn't mind traveling with two Labs. My rig is set up nicely for two - two TVs so can veg out each watching their own programming. Main problem is that the toilet is open - you can close the door from the front of the rig but if I'm in bed and you have to use the facilities, its pretty friendly. I would do the driving but share expenses, set up and cooking. I like to sightsee but no long hikes and I do like afternoon naps and sitting outside in the evening having a glass of wine.

Man, I wish I had for sure planned on going - I LOVE animals, naps, cooking, and wine - not necessarily in that order (except for the animals!). Are you a blood sister I never knew I had?

Maybe some of the Oct TN campers can come up with a plan...... multiple brains working together, might not be better but so much more fun no one will care!

Think I'm gonna cry! I was getting all juiced up for this. We've gotta find you a co-pilot!

Karen, lot of time between now and then, something will come up. We won't rule it out just yet.
