Government Loan????

When the first couple of hummingbirds showed up I was so happy. Now I'm refilling the feeders two and three times a day - the little devils are eating me out of housee and home. When I go out to change feeders they don't even wait until I've hung it up before they're swarming the feeder WHILE I'm still holding it. They're about 8" from my face. How can something so small be so cocky?

I make my own sugar water with NO red dye. They don't seem to care what color it is. I had to specially buy sugar since I'm diabetic and don't usually have any in the rig.

Isn't it amazing how much something so little can eat? last summer I spent more time cooking sugar then I did cooking people food. this year they must have all stayed down your way - haven't seen many here - of course it could be because it NEVER STOPS RAINING here.

Well I should get a picture of mine on our next warm sunny day.
We have seen one humming bird and a gazillion bees. I am thinking that the cute feeder that looks like a flower was a mistake.

It was so bad a few days ago..we could not even go out on the front deck.

Great pictures, Karen! I had one yesterday who must of thought my head was a flower and he/she hovered about my head for the longest time. It was such a neat experience!
