I had figured out the boy chick & girl chick making her the Mother Hen,,, but shouldn't the Man Chick be a Rooster? :o

By the way, I like facial hair, makes a man more rugged looking IMHO! :D

Finally got an answer from favorite son as to his week off in Oct. He'll be off the 21st-28th. I can be in Tenn either the 7th or 8th, assuming this is in the Nashville area which is what I based my mileage and travel time on, or I can visit relatives in Oklahoma that week and be in Tenn sometime in the week of the 11th. Whatever works for the majority. And since we haven't heard a word from the lovely lady that started all of this, I'm going to send her a pm and let her know that there are a few of us interested in an Oct GTG. Hope any of those dates work for all of you. If not, I'll have to catch you on the next one or you'll have to come to California!

Okay, okay, sorry. Gosh this retirement thing is taking more of my time than I thought it would. Finishing last minute things at work can be a pain in the azz!

Anyway, I'm looking at October 6, 7, 8 or 7, 8, 9. Which will work out best?

I'm getting prices on the Two Rivers RV Resort at http://www.tworiverscampground.com/index.html which is convenient to everything and easy to get to. This place doesn't have cabins but there are plenty of hotels around that would be just down the street. It seems the cgs that have cabins are upwards of $40 night, didn't think that would be good.

I'll keep you informed now that I know there is some interest. Right now it looks like there will be four rigs, unless we pick up other interested gals.

More later...

7-9th works for me, gives me a bit of a cushion to get there in case of bad weather or what ever. I'm coming from the North Rim Grand Canyon, having a bit of a visit with my buddy Sparkle and meeting Echo. 1697 miles, piece of cake!
But if the 11th works out better for everyone else, I can re-arrange my schedule to do that, and might even work out better. Just let me know before Sept 17th. I'm going to be at the beach with my jeep club Sept 20-25 and need to know whether I'll be leaving for GC 27th or later.

I know they steep so let me know what you all want to do. Right now there will just be 3 of us w/rigs and 1 in a hotel.

Personally..... I am "cheap" but then I stopped to realize that in order to accommodate all different sizes of rigs and set ups takes a real RV park....... and gulp, real prices.....Those COE parks are picturesque but unpredictable and often unreservable ..... (I do remember what I spent to stay on the Outer Banks, NC on night last fall. I think I came up with a theory, that the larger the sign out front the higher the rates....) It does look like we are smack dab in the middle of things to see and do! I have never been to the Nashville area! Thank you so much for doing the leg work! What are the "fees" required to support the TN tour guides knowledgeable about the area attractions! I want to be sure that If Cedar hasn't already stored an appropriate bottle away around the campfire that I be sure to bring some along! Thanks again!
