Monday..at last it's Morning !

Monday..at last it's Monday ! Morning to one and all... my house has emptied out.. it's almost silent..cepting I hear the big paws coming down the hall way.. and a few little taps of the other little critters..yes, they are coming into my den to be right along side of me...dare I be in a room all by myself.. LOL.. sometimes there is no such thing as privacy..the big noses have to be right into where you are..no matter where you are !!!! Yes, even in that room..they are with me..open the sliding door on the shower...and HELLO THERE .. right in front of the rug I need to step on ..oh well, excuse me !!! This weekend was kind of rough.. had some wild storm blow in .. and I mean to tell you.. it rained so hard it was slapping the ground.. goodness it just didn't want to let up..all of us sat around drinking coffee and Yes, feeding our faces..what else was there to do.. Card game was on earlier..even got in a few dart games..men shot some pool while we women talked recipes and what our latest ailments were..and who was doing what to who.. and of course in between each session there was food..omg.. don't think I want to look at any for a while.. We Italians tend to overdue a lot.. now it's finally resting time.. all though I have my washing machine in action..all the sheets are going ..and this is my peace time to sit back and read what you all were doing....

Mitch..inquiring minds want to know..omg.. here she goes again.. but I'm smiling reading some of the answers to her many many question.. just take a look all.. and Vickie.. Yes, I think I would have describe it the same way..one thingy to another.. but now Sharon... you could best describe it in more details... uh ya all want to know.. Meander on over.. it's on several issues.. starting with Solar or Genny..and from their Sistah's it graduates !!!!! Tell her about Wii's and Why did you pick your RV .... Mitch I bet as a kid..mmmm well I'm sure you had lots of questions... like remember Why ???????

Almost There.. (Lenora) So glad you picked your Toaster Oven.. I never saw so many details on a Toaster Oven before.. but ya remember..All of us that own one.. Love em.. no matter which kind you buy..they work great..and I use them in the house too..not only the RV.. My draw doesn't slide open when I open the door.. I have a gadget that I use..that grabs the rack to pull my toast out with.. same one I use for my big Oven.. but my crumb tray.. I also pull out to clean up all the crumbs... and Yes, I love it .. wouldn't be with out that or my Crock Pot and Pressure Cooker..

Snowball (Sheila) glad to hear some good news on your Hubby.. we all are keeping you both in our prayers..but do keep us all posted...

Retired Happy (Karen).. I do hope your friend can travel with you.. but if not.. if you get a few to travel along via caravan it shouldn't be so bad.. I've done most mine alone..across the USA.. but when my girlfriend traveled with me it was fun... Alone I just every night I jotted out my directions I was heading..way before GPS which would have been great.. but my trusty Atlas was by my side.. and when I pulled in for lunch and walk the critters I went over more of my roads and things I wanted to see.. even had a few friends I stopped in and visited with along the way.. but sending positive thoughts for you that all will work out.. Heck you have all of us on line here as you travel too ya know..

Haven't heard from Lizzie or Carolinagal.. (Carol).. Gals sure hope you check in soon with us.. wanna know where ya are..??

Did a quick check last night and didn't see any up date on Beth's blog.. so she pretty soon should be logging in.. Yooo hooo

NaSoosie..(Soos) and Cedar will be getting ready for their Blue Grass Festival.. I'm sure you both are anxious to hit the road and campground... then when you come back Soos.. it will be time for your other GTG with the ORS group.. you will be busy... .. Glad to read Molly is doing ok.. always worry when our critters have problems... and they flair up like over night too... yikes....

Paulette.. I know it's getting down to count down.. I know you have your list going.. another GTG family reunion.. heading south bound..wooo hooo...

Ok .. I'm gonna get my sheets in the dryer and on to the next batch... I did post on here yesterday and put a couple of goodies in the recipe area.. hope you all check them out.. very tasty...

So, my coffee pot is perking.. kettle is whistlin and you all know Oj and Colas are in the frig.. help yourselves.. and yes my chairs are empty.. so now come on and set a spell.. let's hear what's on the agenda...Goodies are set too.. yes, Corn and Blueberry Muffins and Apple Strudel.. oh my I just can't think of food right now.. LOL

GOOD MORNING BARBZEE AND EVERYONE!

Glad to see Barb back after her weekend family frenzy! It sounds as if you had a great time, in spite of the rain. I saw the radar, and it looked scary!

I am sitting out here in the trailer with Twitch and Molly and have the furnace on! It's 45 degrees in here! Molly was buried under my sleeping bag, and Twitch was all humped up in his hut! We are practicing for the upcoming bluegrass festival. It's supposed to be a really nice day today, but I still have to go to the post office and mail some bill checks, get some last minute supplies, and gas up. I am so hoping that tomorow and tomorrow night won't be rainy, but, if it is, I'll just put on my rainsuit.

I swear that the eyedrops I have to put into Molly's eyes seem to irritate them even more. I am going to try to eliminate them after this dose and see what happens. They looked really good this morning until I put the drops in there. Sigh. Now she is closing them again.

Guess I'll get busy and read all the posts I missed last night, and get this show on the road for the day. Barb's coffee is hot here, so pull up a chair and let us know how you are and what your plans are for the day! The sun is about to get above the horizon soon-----YIPPEEEE!!!

Zeeee,.... please tell me that all your brothers and sisters don't visit at the same time.... as an only child I'm in total shock at 10 siblings. I always wanted at least one or two,...but you hit the mother lode!

good morning to all,.... sun is shining and it looks like it will be a great day here. I've got to run into the school for a few minutes to do some paperwork for my second job (late Aug-early Nov) as school tax collector. Here our taxes are done twice,...school taxes come out on 9/1 and county land taxes on 1/1. I only collect the ones for our school district which has residents in five different townships. I really love that job as it keeps my hand in financial work. I retired from a career where I did finances/accounting for land projects and endowments, etc. for a chapter of The Nature Conservancy. I miss that kind of work. But, you all know I love these high school kids that I work with now for my post-retirement (and post-divorce!) job.

Coffee is ready so I'm going to grab a mug of that good stuff and start the dishwasher and.... think about the day. Have a great one everyone!

Good morning everybody! Liz and Carol checking in...back in the good ol' USA. No air-card service in Canada. I'll post some pics of our trip down the AlCan Hwy. in a few days, when I can. Saw the parts we skipped because of fires on the trip up. Pretty country we went through...you'll see it. But now we're back where gas is much cheaper and camping too. We're in northeastern Montana, heading for NH for a "cousin" reunion. Will be there earlier than originally expected, so may be able to pop in at the "Ruckus" too! Will let you know Soos, if it works out.

I have a lot of catching up to do here, if I ever stay in one place long enough to read it all. Praying for all of you for safe travels, good weather, good health, comfort and courage....whatever your needs may be today.

had a good time at the sandwich social I went to on Saturday, even won one of the
door prizes. Was introduced around but of course I can not for the life of me remember
what their names are. Too bad there wasn't name tags! Gonna have to present that
thought to the lady that puts the luncheons and activities together.
Its about that time to get ready for work, just the two kids and then I'll do whatever
needs doing in between.

Good Morning All - tis a bright sunny day here in Columbus, OH. Yes, we are on our way home. Unless plans change will be there sometime tomorrow afternoon. Left Hershey on Friday and had rain almost all the way to campground. Got a surprise at that campground. We got there around 12:30 and were CHARGED $3 for checking in early!!! First time we've run into that! When we left at 10 I wanted to ask for my $3 back cause we left early! Didn't though as the check in/out lady didn't appear to have much of a sense of humor. Check out our blog for our adventures there.
Just want to say our Satellite Internet is working again. Guess there were just too many trees around us in PA. Parked here and it just popped right up- thank goodness.
Now that we're on our way home I'm already thinking about where to go next - Maybe Michigan in a couple of weeks.

Morning...it is another sunny day here...yesterday we went back up in the 90's...they said we were cooling off??? Not sure what happened there. We spent most of the weekend working on the community playground. I have to say in the 10 years we have lived in this HOA..(which I will never live in one again). This is the first time..I have actually seen something really positive and beneficial for the community. This is the first of several parks that are getting the overhaul. We have 3 parks slated for this summer. One is just getting a swing set...but I am going to push for a couple of other changes in that one. It is called Treehouse park...it has a tree house and slide, they are adding a swing set. The slide is actually closed as the drop off is 3 feet. IMO all we need to do is build a box area under it, at the correct size and fill it with pea gravel, or the rubber shavings that we are using for the other two parks. Then the kids have a nice soft place to land. The tree house needs either repaired or the stairs removed and left there as a symbol. Then build a ground level fort.

I also put the bug in the ear of the board member who pushed for this to be done. That when the main park at the rec center are gets it turn that it be a handicap accessible playground. They actually love that idea. They ask what the difference is...I told them basically you will have ramp's vs stairs. It doesn't mean the kids can do everything, but they can get up and on the play set. They offer more things to do at the platform levels, like tic tac toe, steering wheels, spy scopes, etc.
Then the matting has to be the solid rubber type. I also said I bet there would be a way to get some grants and fund raising for it.

So yesterday in the heat we only worked til about 1pm as it was just getting hotter. Here our peak heat usually rolls in about 4-6 pm.
Then I came home had lunch and deep cleaned the kitchen. Today all I have left is clean out the fridge and the cabinets. I am tossing some things. I have the spice rack from Tupperware that is round...but I think I am going to clean it out and dump the spices, as I know I have some of those for months if not a year or two. The reality is there are only a few seasonings I use on a regualr basis and I buy those in the costco containers. This will free up a lot of space in the cabinet.

DS 12 has football physical today and practice starts tonight....oh joy. DO not get me wrong..I love that he plays football. What annoys me is that for these boys it is still summer and they will have practice every night for the next 3 weeks. Mine issue is I would love to see the Friday practice be optional...or not even happen. Part of it is DS he hates to miss practice. So I think we will still get in a couple more camping trips before games start and we may even use the trailer for some games, as he is on a more competitive league, that will travel more. The middle school football programs had huge cuts done to them this year. So they will only be 6 weeks long and will only play the middle schools within the district. So that is only 3 schools.

I also need to get the checkbook balanced and some bills paid.

Well I thought I was working hard until I read what your days are like Kris! Wow, if I get through the vacuuming and dusting today I'll feel noble. I've been on sort of a housework strike ha, like anyone noticed. Thought DH might get the hint and at least drag a a dust rag around but no, it's all just waiting for me. Have a good day.

Liz, some of us are arriving at Soos's on Friday the 15th,... late in afternoon. Oh, I do so wish you and Carol could make it. I think you'd love it there. Do try! Soos has the time open so if you get there earlier I am sure it would be ok.... I'll be leaving the 17th on Monday. It would be so good to see you again and hear all about Alaska!
