Nice in winter, but full of clouds, mosquitoes and HEAT any other time. The mosquitoes just swarm and bite without the fish to eat the larvae. Went camping there years ago one summer, woke up around 9 pm hearing scrabbling noises on the tent and saw tons of roaches crawling around the outside of the tent. :o We scrambled out, got into our car and promptly checked into a motel then grabbed our tent and gear in the am and left. Can you believe we are Floridians!!!! Young and stupid. Well, the young took care of itself. carold

Florida is beautiful, and I love visiting in the winter months, but I'm starting to itch just thinking about all those 'skeeters!

Ugh, Carol, how creepy. I'll definitely rule that out.

Remember, that was in the summer. Winters are fine and if you go from Nov to March, I'll be in Sarasota. not too far. :D carold
