Hey! Hey! It's Friday...Morning One and All ! Yes, I'm hoping for a rainbow .. which means that this rain will let up for a bit.. and maybe just maybe we'll find that pot of gold.. well a pot of some kind..wait..let me refrain that one... mmm a pot of cheer..cause with this crazy asp weather we've all been in counting.. Hubby and I did get to manage cutting some of the field and yard..but it was a tad bit mushy..and I done seen my weather bug pop up.. geeez Showers and Thunder Storms this afternoon... eeeeeek!!... Looks like my weekend plans are gonna be a little wet ..

Vickie.. Ya know we all need to vent.. so don't feel bad..that's what we are here for too.. and Yes, reading a lot of the happiness of others when you're down sometimes hits ya hard.. but Sistah..we've all been there and some still are.. sometimes not writing is the worst cause you don't let it go... we miss you when you don't post.. It's not easy always being up.. ask me .. but it helps me make it through a lot of my worst days... Hugs to you Vickie..and we're all praying the other company will be able to help with Hommie's Lift... keep faith Vickie !!!

Jemek (Kristy).. that area is certainly getting that heat wave.. sure hope you all keep cooler..shame about that crazy campground.. sometimes places that are advertised alot.. not always cut the mustard as we say.. but hey.. just keep calm and you'll feel cool.. enjoy the get away

Almost There.. (Lenora) asks about Toaster Ovens.. pros and cons... Lenora...I wouldn't be without one.. I have had several different kinds and not because they didn't work.. I wore them out !!! I'm now with a Hamilton Beach one.. and when it bites the dust I'll upgrade LOL To a Toaster Oven Convection.. sounds impressive.. but hey.. it cuts the work of my oven.. like wanting to make quick little french toast pizzas.. or even baking a little muffins.. hey.. if I can keep my kitchen from the heat.. why not.. plus no big oven to clean.. I love the slide out tray to clean the crumbs.... Go for it Lenora you won't regret it... oh and yes, some get hot on top ..so becareful.. The sides of mine just get a little warm.. I got mine from Amazon.com..cause I wanted a white one.. but you can buy them at Walmart .. check and compare prices..

RV Grammy (Lori and Ernie ) will be back at their stomping grounds.. in Gettysburg.. and can ya believe it one more day and we is in August..holy mackerel..

Paulette is getting ready for her Family Re Union.. she'll be heading out soon for NC.. I know Paulette you is ready.. even though you just got back from other side Family Re Union...LOL Go sistah go !!! That hitch itch does ya in !!!!

Ok.. now a bit of Sad news.. Bluepinecones (Sarah) her Brother In law passed away.. There just are never the right words to offer comfort at a time like that.. but Sarah.. we offer our prayers and support in your time of need.. God Bless..

Ok.. now I'm gonna put the chairs out and get the fixin's ready.. I'm kind of in a mad rush here.. have family coming this weekend.. (surprised NOT) well I've got to put the linens out .. I don't make the beds.. they do !!! Hey, I deal with the crowd and that's enough.. hahahaha.. but I do enjoy them all.. even though it's loud.. kind of like a blur.. hahaha..

Coffee pot is perking.. Kettle is Whistlin and oh yeah Oj and Cola is in the frig... biscuits this morning with Plum/Blackberry/Grape jelly.. (I'm pushing it made up several jars)..Corn Muffins and thanks to Soos.. Blueberry Muffins too.. please do sit a spell and let's hear where and what you're up too....

good morning ladies
so glad its finally Friday, its been a very long drawn out week for me. But it is the last
of summer and and we start our regular work year on wednesday. Its gonna be odd and
I'll try to post all the details in a general posting as everything is coming to light, will
know more on Thursday, but I don't think I'm going to be happy and still looking for
a part time job.
Broke my little toe yesterday, didn't realize it until later in the day when the swelling
and purple colors made it apparanent. Guess it would be a good idea to put the
toolbox away anyway, it makes my leg hurt up to the knee.
Have been enjoying my daily swims in the pool, chatting with some of the widows
here and got an invite to a sandwich luncheon on Saturday. I promised I would go
and they will be looking for me. You bring a sandwich, uncut, they cut it in 3's and
all the sandwiches go on one big heap, then ya just dig in. There will be chips and
dip, beverage and door prizes and lots of conversation and fun.
Time to get a mov'on, the dogs are bugging me for their breakfast and I need to
get dressed.

GOOD MORNING BARBZEE AND ALL!!!

it's another very rainy morning----sorry you have to pack up in the rain, Cedar----but still at 57 degrees. It'll be a good day to head to town and do my banking and shopping for the music festival. Tomorrow is forecast to be a sunny, hot day, so I can mow and do the outside chores then.

I had a fun time at the lake-side music jam last night in the town where I used to be lifeguard and teach swimming all summer. I met up with a bunch of former commune friends whose lives have certainly changed since those days we all tried communal living in an old school bus! SO interesting to see and hear what their lives, and mine, have turned to be! Too bad I couldn't have joined them in a couple of beers and some dancing to the music, but----I had to drive myself home over the mountain, and dancing is still out of the question for me until my ribs are totally healed!

The high point of the night was watching an osprey circle the lake, just riding the breezes, never flapping wings, and then, like a thunderbolt, he dived straight down, splashed into the water, disappeared, and instantly came back up with a fish in his talons! You don't often get to see this happen with such clarity! I really need to remember to bring my camera with me the next time, as the view from this beach is one of the prettiest in the Adirondacks. The half moon was framed over the mountains as the sunset's glowing colors lit up the sky. The following poem was going through my mind as I drove home last night:

I know my 'eagle' (osprey) was not perched, but his dive was like that thunderbolt described by Tennyson. That poem has always been one of my favorites that I memorized while growing up.

Coffee tastes good, Barbzee----thanks, and for all those goodies, too! You are so very lucky to have family visiting each weekend---I wish I could look forward to that's happening here. Sigh---just another weekend alone for me. I miss having my house full of family and friends.

I hope you all do something fun today for yourselves. And remember, as this is the last day of July, the first word out of your mouth on August 1st (anytime after midnight tonight) should be RABBITS----for good luck all month! I will try my darnedest to remember before I speak to Molly tomorrow morning!

Morning all. Notice that Karen is online also. Hi there, glad the bad back hasn't stopped your fingers or eyes from roaming the Forum. We are still heading east. Not sure how far today. Good Morning all! Another rainy day, stormed last night, woke me up at 3:30 this morning with lightning and thunder, ended up with over an inch of rain and radar shows it's about to hit again. Hopefully it will stay far enough south to give Acadianmom some over her way.

So sorry to hear about Bluepinecones BIL .

Ava, don't listen to Mitch, she's gonna get you in trouble with those pickled blueberry sandwiches Hopefully your toe stops hurting today, OUCH!

Well, I've got a mushroom pizza in the oven then I'm off to clean floors, (after reading todays's posts) these boys of mine sure do like to run in the mud in the backyard then bring it in. Oh, well, gotta love em.

Good morning from a somewhat cooling off PNW...we are suppose to drop back down into the 80's. Seems odd to be looking at 80's as a cool down..when normally if we even get to the 80's we consider that our hot weather.

We are back home, trailer unloaded, still need to give it a good cleaning. I have say even through this campsite...was not quite what we expected and it didn't start off a a great foot. The site we had was in shade. Once we had the windows open and 4 fans running..it cooled down quite nice at night. DH ended up working overtime yesterday so he did not get to enjoy any of the positives.

I can say that the once settled in and the trailer was cooled off...we spend the majority of the day at the lake area in the campground. That was nice. The water was perfect.

DS Zeke...finally got a fish..it was just a small 7 inch perch.

I will get pictures posted later.

As to dogs this campground has specific weekend's when dogs are allowed. Then they are allowed all f Sep/Oct. It is only open April to Oct. The other campers we met were nice, they were mostly Canadian's and seasonal. You can have your RV on a site for the entire season for $2950.00 For a summer home on the lake that would not really be too bad. We still like to travel to much to settle down like that.

Well I should jump off here. Kodie has a speech therapy appt in town in a bit.
