Yeah, like bread 'n butter pickles - bread 'n butter blueberries. They pickle anything down here in the South. Ever try a pickled egg??? Now THAT's an ACK!!!!
Count me out on pickled anything except cucumbers! ACK! Just looking at the pickled eggs we had on the bar where I was the bar tender made me wanna wretch! And the pickled pigs feet at the other end of the bar just compounded the feeling! I always dreaded it when some customer would want one of them served!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain Happy travels!
Oh those blueberries brought back a good camping memory. Another camper invited me to go with her to pick some blueberries and when we returned back to camp she made a wonderful blueberry cobbler. Yum Yum
Yummmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!! Pickled eggs and pickled pigs feet. OMG, food to die for.
Now the one thing I dislike is pickled kidneys! BLECH!!!! I've had pickled heart which isn't to bad. And I've had pickled tongue too and while I'm not nuts about that? I would eat it in a pinch if there were nothing else. The taste is alright but have a really hard time with the texture.
Ohhhh, I like pickled herring too. They call 'em 'Blind Robins'. Why???? I have no idea! But they are pickled in salt not soaked in vinegar and stuff like egges.

Echo, pickled herring and tongue!!! Now I can tell you spent time in New York. Brings up memories of family GTG's where that stuff was the norm. No thank you. BLECH. You gotta have a cast iron constitution for that stull Linda
