Wednesday...better known as Hump Day...Morning ! Yes, it's the middle of the week day and getting closer to another weekend...It's Muggy and oh did I say.."Wet" with possible thunderstorms...golly gee.. this season has just been really strange.. I will say one thing..."My grass has never looked greener".. but dang..it's growing faster than a Jack Rabbit..uh oh that's some of my hubby's twang there.. He did say when we first got married.. "More of him would rub off on me, than me on him.." don't cha just hate when they are right !!!!!!???????
Oh did I mention my DSL is up and running..butt... they will be coming back to do some re wiring..aaaaaah seems now it's my fault.. (has to be someones why not mine) so I'm scheduled for a rewire..My saga will continue I'm sure but right now I'm only operating at 73% ok.. I'm working that's all that matters for now...someday I'll get to 100% (they tell me)..

Now let's see what's happening with all of you.....

Soisew (Shelley) Good to see you ! Shelley also tells of all the visitors she has.. Perhaps you can get a few good pictures you know we'd love to see them... by the way.. How is the House coming along ?

Also just a little reminder.. Beth has her blog updated.. for those that want to catch more of the Alaskan tour...no bears this time.. not even a Moose hahahahaha... Beth.. that was some ride.. but hey it was scenic..and that's cool too...

Ididaroad is now Where's Liz.. so pretty soon I know we'll be hearing from the Sistah's.. Lizzie and Carolinagal (Carol) heading towards the New England area...mmmm wonder if they will be going by way of Canada or across the 48's.. have to check that out !!!!

Asirimarco (Carol and Bill ) are enjoying the Amish country.. Carol if you forgot.. I did mention those areas to you in my kitchen.. but guess you missed it.. .however if you get a chance Reading has a huge Outlet.. many people head over and some get really good buys... I use to go there quite often.. Also in the Philly area there is a restaurant called Victors.. where the waiters and waitresses.. sing opera.. it's quite entertaining.. and lots of good food.. Oh and it does get packed.. for dinner..

Mitch gave us an interesting You Tube.. the Vintage Travel Trailer Show.. have to say .. " Sure good tune too.. " check it out.. ...and you'll toe tap too !!!

Avalen (Ava) is getting back into the swing of things.. Looks like she'll be back to work with a full schedule.. Good thing there Ava..always good to hear good news from your area .. have to do a catch up with our chat too..

Cedar.. she's a just leaning back and enjoying the scenery..mmm she hasn't said if she has made them breakfast goodies of hers and by the way.. they are good too.. you can meander over to recipes and find them.. and Go for it.. they are gooders !

Nasoosie (Soos) not sure about your area..but we are so damp.. I squish when I walk outside... mmm your berry season must be about ready too.. oh Blackberry Cobbler just shot through my brain.. oh and if ya get a chance pop a few pictures of Twitch's new jacket.. some how my Sunshine bless his soul.. would have never handle that.. just about thought he died when I put a collar on him..cause he was a house cat ..only a few times did he ever go out..and then he howled to get back in...sure miss my cats..but.. I have enough to do with my critters...

Ok..well looks like lots of you are either on the road or entwined into many other areas.. Please don't forget us.. cause you know we like to be a part of what you're into.. in other words.. we is nosy ok.. if we can learn or possible get a good deal or even have a fast thought of possible doing something different.. Morning to all. Yes, Zeee I remembered about your post about Intercourse - that's why we went there. Neat little place. As for the outlets - don't usually go to them - not into shopping and have no where to put stuff any more. But really glad we went there - in fact want to go back before we leave if I can convince The Driver. Yesterday was sunny all day....today and next 3 days are supposed to be rainy again....yes the grass is really green here. got my whole blog updated yesterday without deleting (by accident) any thing. whew. We will be leaving here Friday to where we haven't figured out yet - but will be towards home.

Good Morning Ladies. Hope everyone is having a wonderful morning so far. I'm not sure what today has in store for me, but can tell you that the week started out with a bite in the butt! As a lot of you know, my GD lives with me. It came about when her dad was single and in the Air Force; when they would send him off on deployments, he had no family in Texas to help, so she came to live with me and has been here ever since. Well, the School Board has decided that while a Power of Attorney from the Military granting me guardianship is okay, a personal Power of Attorney is not. So, in order to continue having GD attend the school she has been going to, I will now have to file for custody. Or, get this...they tell me that her NON custodial mother can enroll her in school. Now, doesn't that sound just a tad illegal? I know that she is biologically the child's mother, but I have divorce papers that state that she is NON custodial...how on earth can they allow her to register a child for school when she has no rights to the child any more?

Well, at first when I got the phone call, I was angry and upset. But, I have stepped back and calmed down and decided that if the Lord brings ya to it He'll get ya through it.

Took the RV in for her oil change yesterday. And then it dawned on me that I'm heading to NC in a week. Family reunion there every August and I think my daughter might even go along with me this year. So, I'm starting to get excited about that too.

Looks like rain here today too. If it doesn't, it's going to miss one heck of a good chance!

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!!

Morning has dawned beautiful and warm here again---this is a RECORD for this summer---3 nice days in a row! It's already 62 and the sun is rising in a clear sky!

I had a super visit with my daughter yesterday afternoon. I always enjoy her company, as she is able to keep deep and philosophical and knowledgeable conversations about the state of the universe going with me! It always amazes me how admired she is in her field of environmental engineering, and how many tasks and jobs she has her fingers in.....besides being a professor at St. Lawence University. I have no doubt that her name and publications will be well-known at all our higher education institutions before I am gone from this universe. She is an amazing woman.

Trying to decide if I am ready for striking out for Silver Lake Campsite today, or not. My ribs and chest are hurting today, after helping Mandy with my hitch-lifting yesterday----but I had to make sure I can unhook if I get somewhere. Also, we laughed a lot, and that still hurts like heck! Guess it's been about a month since I really laughed! I will call the campsite and ask if there are any waterfront spaces open, and, if there are, I will probably feel obliged to head over there! If there aren't, I can always haul my old camper to the pond and set up down there for a change of venue! Or, better yet, I can just bring my sleeping bag and some food and spend some days in the leanto. I have never brought Twitch down there with me, but it would enable me to not have to come and forth to the house to check on him. He's out here in my new trailer with me now, as I wanted to try out his new hut and space in here to see if things will work when I go to Alburgh a week from today. I had to change his venue from when I met Bob and Cedar, as a friend will be traveling with me to the music festival, and she will use the bed where I had him set up before. He seems very happy in here, and slept with no yowling throughout the night. His entire life now is just eating, drinking, peeing, pooping, liking some petting now and then, and sleeping. Not too bothersome! He really doesn't like his walking jacket at all yet, but I will keep trying it out on him a bit each day. I think he will prefer a fenced-in area on the grass, which I may try today too.

I have to call the porta-pottie people today and order a couple of those for the month of August. It's always worth it to have those handy. Maybe I'll just get them for a week this time----depends on what they will charge me.

Paulette, it sounds as if you have your day cut out for you already----get official custody. What the heck, you are her custodial parent (grand) as it is right now. Non custodial parent being able to put her in school is totally assinine, I will have to agree with you there!

It sounds as if the ground is soggy just about everywhere other than where they need some rain!

I will try to get some pics of Twitch today in his walking jacket outfit----I just hope the shock f it wears off soon so he won't keel over and die! I am setting up a fenced-in area here in the screen room for him to get used to being outdoors more.

just a quick little good morning, I'm ready for work but its too early to go, gotta
swing by a co-workers place and give her a ride in she has no car anymore. She
just lives on the next block here in the park so I don't have to travel far to get her.
Little bit worried about my Bandit (my old guy) seems like the last few days is giving
him some pain in his feet to walk around. Its my suspicion he has picked up some
of the tumble weed thorns in his pads and between the dirt and peeing on his feet
they look sorta swollen and sore. He licks on them alot and I know I should take
him to the vet but there is just no money to do that, I'm already a 100 in the hole.
(haven't done that in 8 years) Will wash up his feet after work and take a good
look at them, gotta be something I can do to help him be more comfortable. I'll
think on that today.

Good morning all. Leaving Astoria today and heading up the Washington coast (unless DH turns right). He's been talking more often of heading back to the east coast earlier than planned and maybe setting up roots near GK's. He does change his mind, so we will see. Won't give up the MH, so we can continue taking trips even if we don't fulltime. Would love to find a really nice RV park in the area, but they don't exist. Weather was quite warm in Astoria yesterday, although not quite like Portland or some other areas. Hopefully it is cooler where we are headed. Soos, nice that you had such a good time with your daughter. You have a good reason to be so proud of her. Ava, we had that happen with our dog a few times. Sure is hard to get them to sit still while trying to pull out stickers. Barbz, can't believe anyone thinks this could be your fault. Well, off to see what the day will bring. carold

DH just came and and wanted to know how I felt about staying another day and checking out Cape Disappointment by car and then heading east along the Columbia River on 84. He's been talking about wanting to go visit some friends in Arkansas, his brother in Nevada and seeing the GK's . Since I don't have strong feelings either way------. He hangs out with me in FL for the winter even though it's not his most favorite thing to do, so I let him amble along the rest of the time. Have to say, if I really want to do or go somewhere he fits it in. Now I know what the day brought

morning for the very hot PNW...they are saying it will be triple digits for most area's of western Wa.....eek.

Then this am as I am making pancakes for the kids...before the house gets too hot...LOL...the power goes out..oh great. I am sure we are experiencing what may be common in to the brown outs. Too many fans plugged in. We leave in a short bit, but will be moving the animals downstairs as that is normally about 5-10 degrees cooler then the rest of the house.

another great day dawned here at the campground. Finally! Summer weather. We are supposed to get a thunder storm later, but now it's a typical July day,... about time!
