Good morning gals!
I have been trying to get caught up on here for a few days! Lots of posts this past week!
It is horribly windy here this morning.

Wind is coming from the south which is not typical. Trailer is really shaking! I keep hearing noises outside and hoping nothing is hitting or blowing off the trailer!

There are new baby doves in the nest so I am hoping they are staying safe and protected by mom or dad. Can't believe how tiny they are when they first hatch! They would easily fit in a teaspoon! Last week it was cool and raining off and on for several days. Not much rain tho, just 5 minutes of sprinkles off and on all day. We need some decent rain here! Now we are pushing 100* here this weekend!
Today I will be inside working on small projects. I ordered two new blinds for my bedroom windows. The ones I have now are aluminum and don't work well anymore. I should get those tomorrow and get them put up right away. Will also start putting the UV window film on those windows too. One room at a time...
One day last week, I got really motivated

and went to the storage unit, took everything out and reorganized it. I now have all my gourd stuff on one side (I wanted to see how much I had to see if it would fit in the bunk room along one wall. I think it will). The rest of the bins I organized by books, photos, nicnacs, X-Mas, and misc. Looks much better now and I will be able to find stuff without having to go thru everything and make a big mess. Now I need to go thru the stuff in the bunk room and get that all out of there so I can get started on removing the top bunk.
I had a great visit with Beth and Peggy the other day! We sat outside at the BBQ place and had a nice conversation! Forgot to take a photo tho!
I have been trying again to find a primary doctor out here. All the ones I called are booked out until at least May of 2026! There is a real shortage of doctors out here! I did get an appointment in October with a gynecologist for my annual female exam.
Yesterday, I went to the county Work Force place to see if they can help me find a job. The gal suggested I work with a disabilities worker since I have several physical limitations and they can help me find a job that will accommodate me. I am also scheduled for a interest, skills, and resume class in a couple weeks. Things sure have changed a lot since I was younger and looking for jobs! I asked about their training program (paid training at local vo-tech schools) but they said their budget was slashed due to the recent gov't cuts, so that isn't much of an option now.
Those stair lifts look good but are probably very expensive! But a good option for people who don't want to move from their multi-level homes.
I would love to have a apartment or condo with a small patio or deck. Maybe someday. This trailer just feels too confining and, well,... like a trailer. It is OK for now but eventually, I would like to find a "real" home.
Karen, when I lived in Vista and needed dirt and/or mulch for my garden areas, I would leave the bags in the back of my car, line my wagon with a plastic bag, and scoop the dirt/much from the bags into the wagon and then wheel that to where I wanted to put it. That way, I didn't have to lift the heavy bags and potentially hurt my back. Was a little messy but much easier. And planting out here in the desert is done in the fall, not the spring. Nothing grows here in the hot summer.
Sandy, I am surprised they are not having you get an MRI of your back before giving you a steroid shot. I had that done so they could see exactly where the problem was and where to put the shot in. Hope you get some relief. My last shot has worked for a year now. I just occasionally get sciatica pain if I am bending and twisting at the waist.
Judy, Manuca honey is really good for healing throats, etc. It is from New Zealand and has great healing properties, better than regular honey, and it tastes really good! I get mine from Amazon.

Sue, I have recently read that landscape fabric is really bad for the environment. Here are a couple things I found out... "Environmental Impact: It is derived from fossil fuels, contributing to global warming, and can release microplastics into the environment. Harmful Chemicals: Landscape fabric contains petroleum and other harmful chemicals that can leach into the soil." I read that putting down cardboard instead is better. Something to think about...
I have had a portable AC before. They work well for small spaces. If any of you decide to get one, look on Craigs List, etc. They are much more affordable and there are a lot of them for sale.
OK, I should get busy here on something... Have a good day!
