Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good afternoon all. Been a busy day for me. I had to drive into State College to see the oral surgeon. I hate driving in there with all the one way streets and students jaywalking. It’s gone from a nice smallish town to town with all kinds of shiny tall buildings and parking is impossible. I won’t even get into that! Glad I left home when I did, thought I would be really early and ended up I just made it in time for my appointment! I knew I avoided downtown for a reason! So not sure what I’m going to do the rest of the day but my inclination is to do nothing. Made a few phone calls to make arrangements for the dental surgery, was able to get an earlier appointment then I thought I’d get so not looking forward to it but will be glad to finally get it over with! It’s a beautiful sunny day today, started out in high 30’s and is 74 now. And supposed to be warmer tomorrow! Liz, was glad to see your post, sorry you are going through health problems for you and Bob. Will be thinking of you and sending well wishes your way. Beth, good to see your at your casita and can relax now. And Judy, you’ve certainly put on some miles! Shelia, clearing out a home is not an easy task. Heck, I’m trying to do some of that in my own home and keep getting sidetracked. Start one space and it seems to lead to another! So I feel like I’m runny in circles! Guess it’s time to feed Buddy and probably need to find something for myself too. Yard work is going to be there tomorrow! And probably a walk around a few blocks a bit later. What I really want is a nap but to late in the day for that! I’ll probably sleep good tonight! Have a great rest of your day!

Sharon, You described why I try to avoid congested areas. I'm glad you could get an appt sooner than you expected because getting it over with is good!

I've had a bookcase sitting waiting to be put together for a very long time. It's out of it's box and I've decided where it'll go, have to move other things. Maybe I'll put it together yet today. Maybe. If not I have to move the components which I can slide under the daybed. I've got a couple things I've set aside to take to our free/donation table in the rec hall. I'm signed up to do electric readings again, start this Saturday morning. At least it's something to help the co-op. Most of the volunteer opportunities are over the winter.

Time to go for a walk

Good afternoon. Been doing odds and ends today. Worked outside this morning until the sun came out. The temp wasnt bad but that darn sun is very hot when it is shining on you. So I come in and find something else to do. This afternoon I am making a quiche. Steve sent some ham home with me so made a ham, mushroom, spinach, cheese quiche. Will take some up to them later.

Need to go to the store and pick up a few things but will probably do that tomorrow after working in my yard for a while before it gets hot. I dont like to go on the weekends so hopefully I will go tomorrow. I also want to go to Lowes or Home Depot to see if they have a couple of plants that I want. Vegetables will be next week. Squash, cucumber, and tomatoes. I have the seeds for the pole beans and beets. Also have a bunch of onion sets to plant. Then rain coming on Friday but not alot. Every drop helps.

Feeling really lousy today and tonight. My cough has gotten deeper and I have a slight sore throat, so I think my allergy cough has become an actual cold. At my October oncologist appointment, he tested my immune system, and I was very surprised to find out that my immune system is very weak. Somehow, I thought that since I had been in a solid remission for the past 5-6 years, it would be fine, but apparently it lingers. Being around family and three teenagers last week was probably not the best thing for me.

But, I am now in Zion and settled into a very nice spot, so I will just sleep in tomorrow and lay around all day. It was very hot in Las Vegas, but much better here and getting even cooler the rest of this week.

More tomorrow.

I don't remember what I did yesterday except give Luna a bath. She understands the word bath and goes and gets in the shower. I put the automatic feeder up. I had to work on it today because I didn't think it was putting out enough food. At least this one is simper to set.

I went to town three times today. I had to bring a cat to the vet for 8:00 for blood work. I should have ask if I could leave the cat at the vet while I went to Walmart but brought the cat home and went back to Walmart. I think I finally have all I need for my trip. I aired up all the tires on the motorhome which is a pain. I have a kneeling bench to use so makes it a little easier. I had a Meetup meal tonight so was heading out later for Lafayette. My neighbor caught me before I left and wanted a ride to pick up her car in Lafayette. I am glad to be able to help her out because she has helped me several times when I needed a ride.

We went to a restaurant where we could order boiled crawfish. I think that will be the last time for me this season. The shells are getting too hard and are hard to peel.

Martha, I thought you were going to say Luna ran away and hid when you mentioned the word “bath”, which is what a lot of dogs would do! Sounds like Luna actually likes baths!

Yesterday must have been bath day for dogs! Not only do they understand words they understand when you do certain things, like yesterday Pippa and Toby were scheduled for grooming. I decided to take Pippa first but when I told her to go potty on her paper she looked at me like ha, I know this routine and she refused. At this point I am running late so decided to take Toby first. I'm happy the groomer lives only a couple of miles away. I asked her not to schedule them on the same day again and she agreed.
Judy take care and rest up. I hope you feel better soon. Sheila I feel sorry for all the work you are doing. I hope your family realized how much you have done for them by taking care of your Mom.
Beth sounds as though you are getting organized. Sharon I hope your surgery goes well. Karen your Quiche sounded good but then you frequently make me hungry which is a good thing.

LOL. It must have been something in the air yesterday!

I gave my sweet Joe a bath yesterday also. I generally only bathe him once every couple months or so. He got the full spa treatment - bath, nails, ears. He seems to enjoy grooming, which I always do myself - but Joe is a very short-coated breed (with no undercoat), so it is very easy to groom him.

A lot of people seem to think that dogs like Joe don't need any grooming at all - but they really do, and benefit from it.
