Sheila, it took me quite a long time to log on this morning also.

When I finally got on, I noticed this:

In total there are 35 users online :: 1 registered, 0 hidden and 34 guests (based on users active over the past 3 minutes)

Have no idea who all of these 35 people are snooping around - I assume I was the one registered user.

I respectfully suggest that we all kind of watch what we say on here, as to exact location, any financial doings we might be involved with, that kind of thing.

Or maybe I am just nuts, who knows?

But being careful what we say online is always good.

I dont think your nuts but we know this is not a private forum. I dont think any of us give enough details about anything especially financial on here. I am not too worried, heck if I was I wouldnt be on here.

I generally just keep myself logged in because I don't care if someone knows I am on the site or not. Personal stuff just doesn't get shared, if you haven't noticed. Long ago, when I questioned about the "guest" numbers (though I don't think I ever saw a number as high as 35) it has been suggested that the guests are mostly normal members that routinely just log on and read but don't bother with "logging on" completely. I still suspect that there are many past "lost" members that post mostly on the Group on Facebook, where the majority of folks are, but come back regularly to read here.

If you look at my profile, you will see that it does not show the last time I logged in. I don't remember why, but when I log in, I check the box to not show my online status. So, I show up as a guest. Years ago, before my time here, someone learned that too much information lesson. There is a 'private' place on here for anyone who chooses to use it for more personal posts.

What most replies are saying. I don't say anything I'm worried about the world seeing but I also know many people come on and read without logging in and many people don't show up because of logging in without being shown, etc, and others don't shut their browser windows (I'm often in that category on my phone so show as a guest logged in for hours and hours). That said, you should never post anything you don't want to get in the wrong hands.

And from my memory, the issue that taught us to be careful about what you post didn’t have to do with dangerous scamming strangers but did have to do with a family member of one of the forum members that read a post that apparently was sensitive to that individual and created bad family feelings all around.

I think we all remember that past member and what issues it caused in her family... it is some times hard but I since then have tried really hard to not use names of family members even when I say good things it's just a habit that I have I do think some of our old members that never post anything read it... maybe not but I remember one day looking at how many views there had been of something that day I mean way high and I thought how??? only made sense

I remember this and always wondered why she abandoned the forum after the incidence, I always enjoyed her posts, maybe I've forgotten some of the details. I think if you are online or not any more information about you is out 'there'.

A friend just sent me a photo she took of Pippa when we first got her and it doesn't seem possible she was so small (2.5 pounds}. We were talking about how cute she was and I said' it's puppy power so you have the patience to train them.' Pippa did a good job training us, DH now buys cheese at Schmucks because she won't eat Kroger cheese!
