Carold and Cougarfan gtg

Today I drove over to the Oregon coast to meet Carold. We decided to meet in Garibaldi. When I drove into town about 10:15, I saw lawn chairs lining the main street. I thought "wow, Carol arranged quite a greeting for me". We met up at the north end of town where she informed me there was a parade at 11am! What luck! (I'm not sure if it really was luck or the special powers Carol says she has. I didn't argue because I wasn't sure what those powers were capable of ) We walked south from our princess parking to where all the action was. We got there just in time to see the start of the parade! I took a bunch of pictures but frankly, they were a little blurry.

After the parade, we drove north up to Rockaway Beach and found a great little seafood place to have lunch. We both had the fried oysters. They were VERY good! After that we went over to where Carol is camped and visited for awhile. Below is a picture:

We had a great time and hopefully we can meet up on the road again another time.

It's so much fun meeting up with the forum sisters. I'm not going to divulge how I planned that parade just for Laura. Got to keep my secrets you know. We had a great time, mouth-watering fried oysters for lunch and sent her home with a bag full of fresh frozen fish my DH has caught while on the coast. Too bad the pics were blurry, now the gals will just have to imagine what we saw. Hope to see you again. carold

I went back and read my post from yesterday. I was just sure I mentioned the fish they gave me but I didn't It was so generous of them to do that and I can't believe I didn't. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU again for the fabulous fish!!!

Yes,... little GTGs are really perfect for me,... gives me time to focus on the person I'm meeting and enjoy their friendship without activities, and joint meals, etc. Meeting at a restaurant or diner is great, let others do the work. Carol and Laura, your picture is great,... Laura, when we meetup in Sept, I'd like to be nice and slender like Carol,...but it isnt going to happen! You gals look great!
