Fun at Grammy & Papa's Camper.....

All righty, then.....in the last 3 days I've taken over 150 photos of our long weekend vacation with the DS, DDL, and the Grand-kids....So the best place to start is at the beginning....the Gang arrived about 6pm Thursday....and this Grammy was ready with home-made Mac & Cheese and hot dogs ready to roast over the fire...The campfire that Buddy & Ernie worked so hard at keeping it from going out with the rain......

Would some one please help me!!!

After the "dogs & Mac" of course we had some lemonade, soda pop, and adult beverages for the "BIG kids"....

And roasted marshmallows....

And before you all panic about this photo...Mommy, Daddy, Grammy & Papa were right there to watch her eat her marshmallows safely...


Then it was off to the playground to work off some of dinner....


Then it was off to bed in the camper....it rained all night so we all slept in the 5er....
Here's what it looks like with 5 sleeping in our living and dining area....

I took this after climbing over our DS and GS to get the camera and my morning coffee....

Will stop for now cause Papa & I "baby sitting the GD" while the rest of the gang are at the Drive-In for an evening at the outdoor movies....and she's wanting my attention....oh, my... It's almost 11pm and she's still going strong....Ever watch "Sponge Bob" at this hour.....

More with our trip to Niagara Falls later....

would never have thought to use umbrella's to sheild a campfire....good thinking

SUPER pics! From start to finish, I loved them all!

As Mitch thought of----going potty in the middle of the night must have been a challenge, to say the least! But it looks as if everybody had a wonderful time, rain and all.

Thanks, all, for the kind comments..... We sure did have a nice weekend....Spent a couple of hours getting the 5er back to normal, but it was a labor of love as was missing the kids the whole time.....we'll be back at the "home base" on Friday so will see them over this next weekend.....

I enjoyed the pile of sleeping people. It still looked more comfortable than my memory of family camping in a tent! That getting out to potty is even harder and the tent was always damp in the rain........

The moments that get remembered best are the unique ones.......
