Rainy Monday, Nov. 4

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Rainy Monday, Nov. 4

Good Morning. Still dark outside, but cozy in the house. Rain in forecast for next two days. But we need it. We were down 2.64” for October and didn’t fair much better for September. So this will greatly help the deficit. Temps in low 60’s.

Irmi, I plan to take a picture when the project at the entrance is done. Still working on the sign, but about 3/4 done. Have no idea when neighbor plans to get the roof, support posts etc. back in out there or how he plans to do it. That thing weighs a ton.

Karen, sounds like you have pretty well wrapped up your outdoor chores. Sharon, glad Buddy is using the treadmill with no issues now. He will outgrow the chewing habit as he gets older. Had same thing with Piper and she doesn’t bother anything anymore. She likes her beefhide bones, but doesn’t chew them as much either.

One more day of political ads and they will be done. Not soon enough for me. I’ve already voted, so don’t have to do that tomorrow.

Got all my outside chores done. A bit of leaf blowing on Friday took care of some leaves here and there. Will always be some around. Put my driveway markers in place, snowblowers are ready to go, just need a news raper blade on one. Old Man Wi ter is still on vacation and show no sign of coming back till who knows . They did get sone snow in the western U.P. On Halloween, but gone now.

Heading into town later on. Errands to run and truck needs a washing anyway. Get a free one today  Want to run vac and will continue work on sign. Doubt there will be a dog walk today.

Good morning Sue and all!

Sue, your outdoor work is basically done so maybe you'll have time to do some Diamond Painting again.

We woke to 66 degrees and we'll get into the mid 80's with sunshine and strong breezes. It's that time of the year to pressure wash our sights. Steve started last week and we'll go out to continue that job. We had planned on driving to the gulf coast to see how they are recovering from the floods from the two hurricanes, but we should get our work done here. So that will be for another day.

A couple days ago we had a baked chicken for dinner, and Steve carved the rest of the meat off the carcass, and it'll turn into chicken salad for today's meal with a couple sides.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Good morning Sue and Irmi. Cloudy day with maybe an occasional rain shower 55° today and then we start with chilly mornings in the 30's and sunshine WAHOO that works for me. I have most of the outside stuff done, just waiting for Steve to come haul away my garden debri. Then need to put the stuff away on the deck into the shed. So for now I am doing my Fall cleaning. Want to get every room deep vacuumed and dusted. Then need to clean the inside of my windows and wipe down my wood blinds. Just taking my time tho.

I need to go to the store for a few things that I need to make my couple of recipes. But no hurry might wait until tomorrows sales come out. I dont need much tho, just a few things and of course some milk. Going to make a pot of soup tomorrow. I like soup alot so tend to like making it. Bowl of soup and some Texas toast works for me. Tonight will be my leftover butter garlic shrimp over angel hair pasta.

Time for a shower and another cup of coffee
Karen

I was going to use the link about the search for the private selection hot chocolate but neglected to do it at the time now I can't find it can some one tell me how to find it? I did a search on private selection but it didn't take me to where I needed to be... I did ask the "kid downstairs" to check out Fred Myer's in Idaho Falls see if they carry it so I might wait a couple of days I told him to get at least 4 canisters if they have them...
reheated the soup tonight not sure what I did wrong but.... I'm thinking part of it was using the microwave perhaps if I'd did it on the stove the chicken wouldn't have dried out... not a tasty meal... lesson learned though
it's warmer today than last night right now it's 30 instead of I think 22 last night..
the nurse will be here tomorrow give mom a shower the aid is out for a couple of weeks so schedule is all different
started the border of the afghan so only 6 rows left 3 days if I do 2 rows a night .... started a hat we are doing a service auction at a women's night at church so thought I would make a hat like I did for my great grandkids really need to finish the roses or the other hat so I can have it finished I cut the yarn too short on one end need to figure out how to do fix that but not sure what heard of what is called a magic knot apparently it's really small and not very visible I guess I will google it and see how to do it... one gal takes out all the knots that come in her skeins of yarn and replaces them with this one... so will see if it will magically fix my issue...
my dd got to school today and found that a pipe had burst over the weekend what a total mess her office/classroom was in walls taken out fans going a real mess
then the youngest said that her roof was leaking where it was repaired last year so she wasn't very happy about it... hopefully her ceiling is ok... wonder if the warranty on the roof will cover the inside as well plus there is home insurance but then there usually is a deductible
woke up and could hardly move lower back hurt so bad so told the guy with the couch that I had to choose between a mattress and couch the mattress won so now I need to decide how to do it ... they are expensive I had real hopes I could keep this one till I was no longer here but if this is the way I will wake up every morning don't think that will happen ... I wish the bed in the other room was a double but it's a queen and I have no room for a queen and besides I don't like putting a queen on a double frame...
you all have a great day

I think Private Selection is a house brand for Krogers....and might then be also carried by any stores associated with Krogers....
