Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good afternoon ladies!

Beth, I'm tickled that you're getting the RV cover so soon. Not only will it protect your investment, it should keep lots of heat off, too. I love your refrigerator and can't wait to see the floor when it's done. Sharon, it's good hearing from you and happy Buddy is walking so well on his treadmill. Hopefully he can be broken of his chewing. BJ, that was lots of good advice you gave JudyJB. Tina, how exciting about possibly having puppies around Christmas! Sheila, I posted the recipe of the Saltine Cracker Toffee in the Recipe Forum. I got lots of compliments on them at the potluck. Sue, you are always busy and your winters can keep you busy as well.

It was 71 degrees when I got up this morning and we're in the mid 80's now with a nice breeze. There is something brewing out to sea, but the water temperature has dropped and other weather changes, so this might just be a tropical depression and the tracking of the storm looks like it will be north of us, but we'll probably still get rain.

The owners are coming in quite heavy since the first of the month and it's nice to see them again. We'll be having our first Happy Hour this coming Friday at the clubhouse.

Irmi, I've already decided I'm going to try that recipe for the next pot luck. Thanks for sharing it.

My sister called today and we were on the phone over an hour! We don't talk often so it was overdue. Right now I'm at Walmart waiting for my pickup order. Here it comes. Later.

Good afternoon. Not a bad day here. Mostly cloudy and 55 but no rain and no breeze. Been busy with some "Fall cleaning" as I am calling it. Washed both mine and guest bedspreads and linens. I am not having company that I know of but I like to have it ready. Vacuumed with my big vacuum as Henry gets the top stuff but my vacuum gets the deep cleaning. I have to vacuum often as Emma's hair gets everywhere. Not sure why either as I brush her several times a week and she gets groomed every 6 weeks. So got my room and the guest room vacuumed and dusted. I put a sheet on top of both my bed and guest bed to help contain the hair and it really helps. Also vacuumed her dog bed on the guest bed as she thinks that is her room because she can lie on the bed and see out the window. Then vacuumed the family room, by this time I am hot from pushing that big ole vacuum so dusting in here will be tomorrow. Think I am done for the day except need to fold my laundry as soon as it is dry.

Am looking at recipe reels and there is some good looking stuff. Leftovers here tonight.

Slept better last night, but still slept in too late. Will be getting up earlier tomorrow as I have an appointment for an oil change at Camping World. Dumped my tanks just now so I don't have to do it in the morning--will just unplug and put slides in and go.

Hate these long dark days, but at least they will turn around again in December. It makes it a lot harder to drive to a new campsite and make it before dark. I am starting to do some Christmas shopping early, as I usually do. Makes it a lot easier. Tip: Tractor Supply has some very bright rechargeable small flashlights for only $5 each. These will make nice add-on gifts for my kids, DILs, and grandkids who drive, which is all but one these days, and she will start in the fall. They include a cord that will plug into a USB outlet in a car, so handy to keep there. I get tired of replacing bulbs in flashlights!! Will head out shopping after morning oil change. Want to buy a new Christmas shirt and maybe some new black or navy long pants. I have only a couple of pairs of long pants because I like to wear shorts or the below-the-knee length when it is cold. Prefer warm places anyway and have not bought long pants in maybe 3-4 years.

It was 90 again today and it's still 78. If we ever get any cold weather it will be a shock. They are predicting another tropical storm coming in the gulf this week. Right now they are only saying it will go Northwest.

The only thing I have this week is a Cattlewoman meeting. I need to figure out what I am going to make for the dessert of the month. I see so many recipes that look good on Facebook. I don't remember what I made last year. I forgot that i have to vote Tuesday. I'll be so glad when that's over.

I hate the time change. I wasn't paying attention to the time and ended up feeding in the dark. I ran into the possum that eats the left over cat food. Just glad he's not a skunk.

Just reread BJs advice--not so tired today. I use only a little Dish detergent or maybe some Pinesol for the toilet, not that I do a ton of cleaning. But i know I am definitely sensitive to cleaning stuff and scented things like candles. Cannot even go inside one of those candles stores. Ditto for perfume and cosmetic stores. And I once had to leave a store because they had just cleaned the floor! Terrible stuff.

Way back in the 80s, I worked for two years in the administration building of a huge (12,000 employees) GM transmission factory. Even though our offices were separated from the plant by a garage for executives, I swear we got the plant air. Plus I had to often cut through the plant to get to the engineering building and the plant management offices. That meant walking about 1,500 feet on a greasy wooden block floor, walking past noisy grinding and cutting equipment, while dodging dripping oil from the ceiling, avoiding fork lifts and things like guys riding bikes, electric carts zipping all over the place, and carts pulling wagons of scrap metal, etc. It was a fascinating place, but the plant was 4,500' long and 1,500' wide and had built B24 bombers in WWII, so it was old, without much air cleaning equipment way back then.

There were two long middle aisles that went the entire 4,500' down the length of the plant, but you could not see all the way to the end because of the oil mist. It was literally foggy with oil mist, and I had to breathe this in constantly if I was in the plant. A year after I left, I was teaching a class in a GM steering gear plant, and had to walk a long way into the plant from a portable building to find a ladies room. I immediately started coughing and could smell that oil mist smell again! That told me THAT was the cause of my newly acquired asthma!!! I don't know what the chemical was, but ever since, I have been sensitive to all kinds of organic smells like diesel trucks, candles, cleaning fluid, you name it. I can't imagine how the factory workers survived. I know my boss had worked a year in the plant as a trainee and lost part of his hearing because of the noise.

I use the cream puff recipe
