Just got a phone call that my RV carport will probably be here next week. If so, that's the shortest 4-6 weeks ever lol. I hope it's true. They have to call back. Now I've got to get in gear with my helpers to remove a bush that's in the way. I called the park manager and he'll loan us the necessary equipment. Now my carpet might have to wait, or not lol

Good afternoon. Another cloudy damp day with only a few showers. Ran a couple of errands this morning then went and got my hair trimmed. Picked up a burger at In n Out. So good. Tonight cooking the other pork chop and some more roasted veggies. Right now just bundled in my recliner with my heated throw...nice and cozy, just ask the dog she is loving it.

Beth good news on your carport. That sounds like a super deal to go that route. Yup the carpet will be there when your done with the carport. I did watch a couple of episodes of The Midsomer Murders, not too bad. Will use it for a fill in.

Finished dinner and kitchen clean up, now done for the day

Happy Halloween, everyone.

A tiny bit of rain overnight, sunny and. . . warm. . . for most of the day today.

Halloween has been my favorite holiday since I was a very young child. Since about the age of 12, there have only been three years when I have not put out Halloween decorations: once (long ago) when my sweet Little Mooch had just whelped a litter of puppies (several of which went on to be AKC Champions - as was Little Mooch herself - registered name "California Girl"); then two Halloween's during the pandemic.

Decorations scaled down a bit this year - I have been feeling a bit under the weather - but have a nice Jack-O'-Lantern, a plastic dog skeleton, a ghost, and a flaming candelabra!!

12 little "gremlins" so far, knocking at my door!!

Happy Halloween, and now we are off to the races getting ready for the winter holidays - they will be here before we know it!!

Happy Halloween
we didn't have anyone come not even the great grandkids that would be mom's not mine... I didn't expect mine... would have been nice do have candy will get tired of it I'm sure... perhaps the "kid downstairs" will help... it snowed not a lot but wasn't a pleasant night out so perhaps that was the reason... I don't remember if we had anyone last year or not...
did get to the the "new movie" on Hallmark mystery's from last week so perhaps the one that I didn't get all of will be on next week at 8 guess we will see...
hard to believe that it's the last day of the month that means Rabbits will have to remember
I watched a ad on FB tonight or a steam cleaner so temping saved the ad but think if I decide to look into it will do it on their web site it's a for a steam cleaner it if would clean the cupboards I'd be really tempted to get it they say it will work on counters but nothing about the fronts of the cupboards will give it a thought... or two
that was neat that your carport may be in sooner than planned on...
Anne are the wild fires out???
you all have a great day

After all the talk about sourdough bread and fancy pastries yesterday when I went to Lafayette for my Meetup I went to the french bakery. I picked up a loaf of sourdough bread, a cream brûlée and an eclair. I am blaming this on Judy. lol Their sourdough bread is better than the last loaf I bought at another bakery. The restaurant we went to was a fancy restaurant back in the 80's when the oil business was booming. They are not so fancy now. The food was ok but not great.

My hair has been wild since it has been so windy so I called to make an appointment to get my hair cut. She could take me this afternoon. The rain started about 1:00 this afternoon and when I got back from town it had rained 2 1/2 inches. It has rain hard until a little while ago. I finally got the dog to go out. Some areas were without power for a while.

So far I have managed to not buy any Halloween candy. Hopefully I can resist the candy on sale. We never had trick or treaters and I had to bring my boys to town to trick or treat.

Yes Sheila, don't buy anything from the Facebook ad. Look anything you are interested in up at their web site. I usually also try to find reviews on a product to see if it is any good.

I remembered rabbits at midnight, took TY out for a last pee and we're in bed now. TY is already asleep. How I wish I could do that. Happy November!
