Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Now it’s Officially the 29th

G’Morning. Just finishing where you left off Shelia, Martha and Anne. Up a bit late here this morning, thanks to a batch of rain and storm about 4 a.m. Piper doesn’t like storms, so she is up on my bed, panting and pestering me. She finally settled down and snuggled up to me and went to sleep after it passed. Warm front came through behind it, heading Into record warmth today and tomorrow before another round of rain and storms tomorrow night and back to seasonal temps. Rain predicted for Halloween here too. But we really needed this rain. Supposed to be nice afternoon.

Enjoyed my company this weekend and they said they had a good time. We went out for fish dinner Friday, then over a Fruit Farm about an hour away n Saturday for some Apple acider and a nice ride. Spent time talking and watching TV including couple Christmas movies. Martha, they started about a week ago. Sunday was off to Mass, out for breakfast and then they headed home. They are life long best friends as were our parents. Known her and then him after they got married my whole life. I stood up for their wedding which as we got talking about, was 60 years ago  Seems like we just had the 50th party….

So back to reality yesterday. Got the yard cleaned up and neighbors is done. Going to make a pass of the sub entrance tomorrow as too wet from the rain and then put my tractor away for the winter. Supposed to get really windy tomorrow which will play in my favor. Did some touch up painting on the sign frame and covered it up against the rain. Dogs and I took a nice long walk. Did 5 mil s past couple days. Molly thrives in cooler weather and she loves to hit the road.

So today I’m heading to town to get some paint mixed for the sub name sign. Just need enough to do the green trees. Sample jar is fine. I’m working on it in the evenings. Don’t know when the neighbor is gong to put the roof, new posts and frame back up, but figure pretty soon as after this week, anything goes weather wise. However, Wind is playing a factor next couple days. Also need to change oil in my little snowblower which won’t take long. Might put neighbors driveway markers up so that will be done for snow season. Will do mine on Friday probably.

Cheryl, things sound like they are falling Into place for you. Guess your black cloud has dissipated other than some RV repair. Hope it gets done for good this time.

So time to head for shower and up town, get the paint and get into the chores. Have a nice day all.

Mornin', Sue, and all who follow.

After you mentioned Halloween, I went on weather.gov to see what our temps would be for that day (yesterday it was 88), expecting just more of the same.

Well, surprise, actual rain is predicted for that day, which will be nice. Haven't seen a drop of rain here since late May (which is normal for my area of California).

I'll believe it when I see it, but fingers crossed.

Good morning Sue and our late night posters on the previous post. I was up, unable to sleep until 3am so easily could have posted, but nothing worth saying except I love chicken fried steak but have never made it myself. Sue, there's a chance of rain here today, but no mention of storms. Luckily TY ignores them but has no desire to be outside in them. Anne, I hope you get the predicted rain and it amounts to something.

Irmi, I'm curious if you're willing to share, to learn what your medicare supplement plan is. My friends in Florida are all paying considerably more so maybe they should look into what you two have.

I went and mowed in Maurice. Because it's so dry and it was windy I was mowing in a dust storm. Came home and mowed the yard. I had shampooed my hair yesterday but when I finished mowing I had to take a shower and shampoo my hair again.

Miss Kitty, the orange cat that showed up here two years ago had kittens in August. Because she had them in the old house I was able to tame them. Since she was here so long before she had kittens I thought maybe she had been spayed but she was pretty wild at first. I called the spay and neuter clinic to make an appointment to get her spayed. They don't have any appointments in November and i have to call in November to make an appointment in December. I may have to take her to my vet. All the cats here have been fixed so don't know where she found her boy friend. Her kittens are orange too. Two long hair and one short hair. I have been trying to keep them in the old house but they are trying to make a break for it.

My camping club is having a campout at the campground that is only about an hour from here. I need to decide if I'm going so I can make a reservation. I haven't looked to see what the weather prediction is for November 7th.

watching Hallmark Mystery channel they to do the endless Christmas movies sometimes one will cycle through that I've not seen or seen enough to remember... on Thursdays they have a new movie think on Hallmark its self their new movie is on Saturdays... the problem last week was the new movie came on at 6:00 which is when we are eating or if I've gotten through with supper the two game shows that mom watches is on so missed out on the first hour of the new movie... so far it hasn't cycled back through but the one on right now has twice now .... I actually get it and most people really enjoy the movies... I actually do as well but not when they are repeated many times during that two month time... they have enough Christmas movies between the two channels that one should never see one more than once unless it's the new movie give us a chance to see it...rant over
Martha how do you make your Swiss steak love it and haven't made it forever... might need to get the meat and make some try out the crock pot that I've not used yet... I too love chicken fried steak... Anne do you like it with the gravy on it ??? must have gravy and mashed potatoes  makes it even more healthy
I looked at the yarn in the bag (for the afghan I'm working on ) and thought that the yarn in it was the same color so quickly texted the mom of the "kid downstairs" see if she would make a JoAnn's run and get me the yarn I was going to run out of... she said sure... then today I actually took them out of the bag lo and behold they were two different colors so didn't need her to get me the yarn.... I sent back a text telling her of my oops telling her that if she had already gotten the yarn to send it on it's a pretty color and I can find a use for it... she just replied no problem so don't know if she got it or not... down to think 14 rows and this one will be done... finished one of the dish clothes today I'm thinking of getting a craft lamp so I can put it behind the lamp I use which really due to the shade doesn't put out a lot of light have the craft lamp on while I'm crocheting then turn on the lamp when I quite and turn the other off... even this afghan has a couple darker colors that better light would have been good...
hope you get your rain Anne .... it seems like Halloween is always a night of rain or snow resulting in cute costumes being covered with winter coats... perhaps not every year but a great many of them...
Beth are you settling into your new home and feeling like it's home?
Shirl good to hear from you

you all have a great day
