Took a quick trip into Hershey and Chocolate world. I thought there was a factory tour - turned out it was a "simulated" tour. Still interesting. And good smells. Going into Hershey Name of street is Chocolate Ave.

Kids in a candy store - zillions of kids - most crying 'cause they couldn't get one of everything. Just bought a chocolate candle and a very small milk can of candy. More for the can then the candy.

Looks like a very interesting place. Don't think I could handle the crying children but would love the chocolate.

Well, looks the same as last year when we took relatives to visit... ;) Yep, lots of kids yelling and crying, but happy ones, too.... Glad you enjoyed the tour...
Did you take time to ride any of the rides???

When visiting a friend in Hershey, i really enjoyed waking up to the smell of chocolate. When the wind was blowing in the right direction, the aroma couldn't be beat. When the wind changed, Hershey is surrounded by farms, boy was it pungent at times. I really enjoyed the whole area and would recommend a visit. Glad you are enjoying yourselves. Linda

They'd probably have to grease the light poles to keep me from climbing up to take a bite

Even though it's simulated, it is real. Hard to explain but the only way they could continue doing the tours when it got so popular, was to make a separate area for it - but those are real runs of the candy being produced in the tour - just isn't the real main part of the factory. Same thing - just everything under plexiglass.

I enjoyed when I did it - but wish I could have reached in and grabbed the chocolate. Hmmmmmmmmmm - guess that's why they did what they did.
