My thoughts and prayers are with you and hoping that it was misread. I agree that keeping busy will probably help and worrying has never worked for me. I hope that you get peace and a quick resolution.

A big "thank you" to all for the kind words/thoughts of support. Unfortunately I must ask you to keep them going at least a few more days.
I showed up for my appointment at the Cancer Center last Monday only to learn that my doctor had a family emergency over the weekend and was out of town. Thought I was prepared but when receptionist told me I'd have to wait another week for tests results, I lost it. Just burst out crying and could not stop. Didn't realize I was that worried about situation. Am fine now; maybe just needed a good cry. Anyway, my appointment is set for next Monday afternoon.

I'm so sorry you have to wait. That must really suck bad! Dang doctors just don't get it sometimes.
Sorry - I didn't read here first and I asked how you were on the Morning Coffee post. I guess I should learn to read all posts before replying! :)
Anyway, hopefully, these next few days will go really quickly and you'll get your good news on Monday!!!!!

Sorry you have to wait. Can't believe the Dr.'s office didn't call to let you know not to come in. I guess he(s) didn't have an associate to talk with you or wanted to do it himself. My reaction would have been the same or just plain angry. Know you have lots to do to fill up the time. Will be thinking good thoughts for you this week. ((((hugs))) carold

Oh my.....I would have totally lost it, too. It is so stressing to have to WAIT for test results.

After I had a 'suspicious-looking-lump' removed from my breast on a Friday a while ago, I was told I could have the results of the biopsy on the upcoming Monday. It is my nature to totally spaz out while waiting for anything, let alone a 'cancer' diagnosis, so I did not sleep from after the surgery until Monday morning when the office opened. I dialed at the exact opening moment. I was told I had to come in for the results. WELL------to me, that meant a positive result, so I began screaming and crying and sniveling over the phone, explaining that I had not slept in over two days, and that I was unable to drive anywhere. And I could not afford to hire a taxi to go there for an appointment. I told them they might as well call 911 to get me admitted to a nut farm if they could NOT explain to me over the phone what was next for me. I told them it was MY body, my disease, and my decision, and that I had the right to hear the results of that biopsy NOW! After many, many calls back to the office, much screaming, much insane behavior, my doctor was finally told what was going on with me (nuts as all heck!) and she called me back.

"It's not our policy to tell anyone the results of a biopsy over the phone." More screaming and crying and protesting, and saying, "So I obviously have breast cancer, eh? Otherwise you could tell me!" SCREEEEEEECHHHHH!!!!!! Finally she told me (basically ) to shut up, and calm down---that the biopsy was negative.

Guess what.....the biopsy was negative and they just wanted me to make another appointment and pay to hear that. That was my last trip to that doc. (Not sure who was happier about that----her, or me!)

I am hoping that your results will turn out to be the same, and I hope you won't have to resort to idiotic tactics to hear about it!

My candle is still burning for you, and all my fingers and toes are crossed. Keep us updated when you are lucky enough to find out anything----we, too, will stress-out with you!

Happy travels!

Soos, I know that waiting for a diagnosis that might be life changing is stressful beyond belief and certainly no laughing matter. However, you had me chuckling out loud with your insanity narrative...I still have a smile plastered on my face. Glad you changed doctors, though! :)
