Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good morning all. It started out sunny earlier but clouds moving in for some more rain this afternoon. Not much happening in my world which is a good thing. Just the normal everyday chores and trying to time lawn mowing between rainstorms. And we've had a lot of that! But not complaining compared to what’s been happening in other parts of the country. I just had a nice young fellow at my door asking if they could use my driveway for their truck. They are are clean out company and I let them throw down their bags and since the apartment they’re working on cleaning out is on the third floor of the building I told them yes. That’s a lot of steps to get up and down for them when this way they can just toss most of the bags. I just had to move my car around so I can get out in a while since I have a hair appointment in a bit. Figure if I’m nice to them maybe they’ll be nice to me if and when I might need to utilize their services. Plus it was a good training moment with Buddy. He still gets a little wild when someone is here. I actually took him outside to have a little chat with the 5 of them and he did so-so. He just wanted to say hello but he needs to learn to tone it down a few notches.
Don’t remember if I mentioned I got him on the treadmill actually walking for about 5 minutes the other day so getting there! Judy, I hope you can get your rv fixed so you don’t have to worry about leaking water. It’s pretty crazy that they didn’t actually fix what ended fixed the other day. Barbie, you had mentioned a petition a while back about the limits on living in the park. Did anything ever come of it? And seems like everyone’s getting into summer activities and staying busy. Hope you all have a great day.

Morning Sharon. Just kind of lazy this morning. Had my coffee, breakfast, cruised the internet for a good recipe and a shower. Cloudy this morning but no rain in sight. Got a few sprinkles yesterday afternoon but nothing that amounted to much.
Need to make a few do-ahead meals to freeze this morning. Trying to use up some meat that has been a while in my freezer so thinking some casseroles will work.
Still need to finish my watering drip system but it was too chilly and no sun yesterday. I need the sun so it will soften my 1/2inch poly tubing to make it way more pliable instead of stiff. Oh well if the sun comes out so will I ha ha

Now it is time to do a few housekeeping chores. I like to have my house presentable at all times as I cannot stand clutter or chaos. Only takes me about 30 minutes to spiff things up and put things away. Tomorrow will clean the bathrooms and wash the floors then that is done. Will have Henry working while I am tidying up. Then it will be "what to do now" time. I need to get finished with my bathroom but I need 3 or 4 days to get that done and when the weather is good I need to get outside so I hate to start that project until I have the time.

Barbie, can you imagine getting that many people that dressed up for a picture today. I have a big oval picture of my mother's mother and dad. Probably taken in the early 1900's. I would like to give it to someone in the family that would care to have it. My son couldn't care less and my sister's boys either.

This morning I noticed Inky trying to use the litter box. He kept going from one to another and would only pee a little bit. I hurried up and got dressed and called the vet's office in case I could bring him in. He called me back in a few minutes and told me to bring him. The good thing is he isn't blocked but has the urge to urinate. They kept him to see if they could get a urine sample. I wish they would keep him overnight but I'll probably get a call about 5:00 to go get him.

I keep hearing thunder off in the distance. Hope we don't have another wind storm.

I grew up for the first, I didn't know how many, years of my life going to a Thanksgiving dinner with relatives on my father's side of the family. I love that I transferred pictures years ago to digital, so have copies of several years. I found a cousin that was a baby in one (about my age) who moved shortly after that across country and we all lost touch with her family. Because of FB one of my other cousins wives found her. How small the world has become. She found me because I posted a Thanksgiving picture and she saw it on my cousin's page, and it was her in her father's arms that we were trying to figure out who that man and baby were!!! But I wouldn't want the big framed one like you have Barbie. No place for it. So it's nice someone does want it. You can save the picture you took of it.

I'm a bum today. No call to take electric bills, at least not yet. So I'm guessing tomorrow, but it wouldn't be bad to take them around at dusk. Either way.

I can't remember what else I planned to respond to. I should take notes.

Good evening! Monday was thunderstorms! Yesterday and today I rented a Sling complete with Batman hood decal!

Leisurely ride of 200+ miles yesterday with a couple guys. Solo today to an outdoor chapel in the mountains. As I was leaving, ran into friends including 3 from Virginia I spent a lot of time with when back there. Made my day!

how fun that would be Anita... glad you ran into them... reminded me of a time when we were living in SLC and I'd gone to pick up Larry from work coming back down the hill when someone driving by us got our attention to ask question (must have been stopped at a light) answered the question then really looked and it was friends of ours when we lived in Iowa ...
I looked at a name on FB yesterday and the name was unusual and realized we had several common friends so looked at the the ones showing most cousins so sent her a friend request and a message asking if she was related to ... in .... Ut it will be interesting if I hear from her... if she is who I think she is she is my cousins daughter and is close to my #2 dd in age making her around 50 give or take a few
Karen I found a friend for Henry... a grill robot .... cleans your grill
that is a neat picture Barbie that had to stay so still that they look like statues...
Glad you got Buddy on the treadmill Sharon as they say baby steps next time he might walk for 7 minutes...
I started the hat or the great granddaughter simply so I can see if it fits her head I think it's going to be a bit too small but think the other is way large...with the one today I checked off the rows should have done that for the boys... and then to figure out the next step...
I opened the microwave today to melt something and there was a newspaper in it... I'd like to find the note pad I'd started a grocery list on not sure where mom put it... :?
did you deliver the statements Beth?
you all have a great day

I got up early this morning to go to the unemployment office before they opened so I wouldn't have to wait so long for my turn. I got in just behind 3 others and got called right away. Well, it turns out they are not the unemployment office. :? They deal with other things like Medi-Cal, SNAP food assistance, etc. They sent me to the other side of the building. So I go there and am told there is no unemployment office. :? I need to call the them and do it all by phone. So I used the designated phone there (the WorkForce office) to do that. I finally got a person to answer and asked if I was still eligible for unemployment after June 1st. She looked at my case file and then said that yes, I can start collecting then. So that was a good answer.

Went to my PT and then stopped at WM to get a few things. I then called Gloria's daughter Liz, to see if I could stop over to see her. She said that Gloria fell in the bathroom the other night and ended up having to go to the hospital. She got a large gash right above her eye. :o They were on there way back to see her doctor about it when I called. I guess now they have someone coming over to help her with showers and her dr wants her to start PT to strengthen her legs.
Then I found out that they already sold her house!!! :o :o They just listed it a week ago! However, they listed it as a fixer-upper for $30K less than what I am asking for mine. So I guess that is how you sell a place here, by selling it for a song. I certainly can't afford to lower my price down to $75K or even close to that. I do wonder if I listed mine for $99K, if I would get more people interested. I am at $106.5K now. Sometimes people look for places up to a certain amount so if they are looking at anything under $100K they aren't seeing my listing. I will ask my agent about that. Hers does need some work on it. But geez! That was fast! So I imagine they have a quick closing on it, so I might be meeting my new neighbors pretty soon. I assume they will be doing a total remodel on it.

I also got a message from my SIL about them coming out on June 23rd to the 26th to visit. So I now have some more incentive to clean this place! I work best with a tight deadline! I also need to figure out what we can do while they are here. Not much going on out here in the summer months. Am thinking maybe a day trip up the mountain to the little town of Idyllwild that I like to go to. That is a beautiful drive up there and only an hour or so away. Also is 30* cooler up there. Lots of fun shops as well as cute restaurants. And maybe take a drive thru Joshua Tree NP. It will be too hot to get out and walk around but just driving thru will be pretty, anyways. I can't afford to do much else but drive around.

I was looking up the Black Bear Diner since there is a new one about 30 miles from here near the entrance to Joshua Tree NP. I found out on their website that they are building a new one in Quartzsite! I was looking at the photos of all the different locations they have and each one is unique and have different fun signs and carved wood statues of bears doing different things! Their prices aren't too bad either and they have a big selection to choose from. We were supposed to be getting one here just kitty-corner from my park before Covid hit. Then they cancelled their plan for that. Too bad! Would have been very convenient to have that in walking distance from here.

Sharon, the "9 month limit rule" petition is on hold until next season when the snowbirds come back. Hard to get signatures when no one is here.

OK, I have rambled enough! Time for bed...
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
