Good afternoon ladies!

Sorry I've been missing but we went on a much needed vacation on the Homosassa River Monday through Friday, so I would be back in time for church. I'm going through the posts and trying to catch up. Sheila, I hope your Mom will be okay. Anita, o my, about your brother and daughter. I loved seeing the pictures from the gtgs!

While we were away, our car was in shop having another engine put in and we got it back yesterday. Since we ave the Blue Ox on that all of you know ow expensive tkey are, this was the option we chose. Because of extra bills, like special assessment bills from our POA and a new motor for our car and other silly stuff, I ave yet to get a new laptop. Our TV in the casita quit and we bought that yesterday. Good grief, when will it stop? But all in all, we are fine and the weather is wonderful. I will keep reading to catch up with all of you.

I know how you feel, Irmi. It all seems to come at once. I made it to Decatur, IN, a while ago and am parked in their nice lot with electric. I had a list of what needs to be fixed, and now need to add another item--lots of water coming out of bathroom faucets, but in kitchen, only a dribble. Hopefully, they can fix that when they find the leak under my sink. In meantime, I have to pack everything under the sink up and put it in boxes. Ditto for under my dinette so they can fix the crack that is letting bugs in, but where I have it stuffed with paper towel. All I can say is that getting all this stuff fixed is still going to be cheaper than buying a new rig, which is my other option. Rolled over 202,000 miles today!

Hopefully, they can do what I want done in one day, tomorrow, but if I have to stay an extra day, I will. Camping here is certainly cheap--free, actually. It is a big paved lot with 50 amp hookups. Around the side of the building are a water fill and dump station. Nice waiting rooms--one for pets and one for no-pet people. And free showers and laundromat, as well. I will not do any cleaning until they are finished, however.

And, Sheila, can we assume your mom signed the papers????

Irmi, good to hear from you. I must have missed that you were taking off and was starting to get worried. And I sure know what it feels like to be bleeding money. And Judy, you're feeling it too.

I've been able to stay cool with very little AC, but today for some reason I needed to turn it on early. Probably signs of what's to come as we're looking at lots of days predicted to hit 90 coming up. And this Arizona sun is hot. That said, I can sit outside in the shade with no problem at all.

Good afternoon. Busy with household chores and shopping today. Cleaned bathrooms, changed bed linen in the guest room as I am actually having company for a few days wahoo. So needed to go to the store for salad fixings, veggies and some meat so I can feed my friend ha ha We will also go out to eat but we may not always feel like going out. Also needed to get some snacks as my Bunco ladies will be here tomorrow. Will bake my strawberry cake in the morning. Need to clean my strawberries tonight. Also making a batch of brownies to have something sweet to serve when my friend is here and/or bunco ladies. I am having leftovers for dinner tonight.

Just went out and watered and it is very pleasant out. I will go to the Plant Warehouse and get a few more flowering plants while my friend is here. Then I need to get my watering system done before we have another hot spell. That wont be for a while tho. Couple more days of 80/81 then down to the 70's and even high 60's so I should be able to finish my yard up so I only need to maintain. Oh who am I kidding I will never be finished with the back yard ha ha Then I remember I am on the 5 year plan., LOL
Will have Henry vacuum in the morning and set up the tables for our game. Think we will only have 10 people instead of 12. So many are busy and/or have medical appts. Oh well we can play with 10 it is just a tad different, we have "ghosts" that play as one of us rolls for them. The money pot wont be as bountiful but I never win very often. This is my last hosting for a while. I dont mind it really is no big deal but is nice we take turns. Welsome back Irmi, you were missed. But so many have come and gone so just never sure if on a vacation or just done. Sheila hope you get the needed help for you and your Mom. Judy sounds like you and your $$$$ are soon to be parted. So far this year I am not bleeding money. I have no big projects like last year when I had the house painted. I have spent money on plants, dirt, fertilizer and raised beds ha ha so far not too bad. I do get enjoyment from puttering in the yard tho. And since I have no life it keeps me off the streets and out of the casino just down the road. Time to sit my butt down and relax until dinner.

We had tornados last night with all the rain and wind. There was one near Lake Charles and one a few miles East of Lafayette. They both crossed I-10 but don't think they caused any wrecks. A lady was killed in a camper trailer by the tornado that was East of Lafayette. From the news pictures it looked like somewhere people were living in campers but not a campground. I haven't decided if I'm going camping or not. We have more bad weather coming Thursday and Friday. Two have already cancelled. The only good thing is it cooled us off a little. It was in the 70's instead of almost 90.

It seems like a bunch of us are spending money. My truck is in the shop and I had to have the mower picked up. I managed to run over a wire and wrap it around the blade. I couldn't get it loose and they tuned the mower up while it was in.

I went to the vet with my son and his dog, got gas for the mower, picked up a lunch and came home.

I have a Cattle Women meeting tomorrow night. Hope I don't forget it. I am getting good at forgetting things. We usually have a meal but won't know what it will be until I get there. Last meeting it was chili. It was right after my colonoscopy and I was afraid to eat chili.

The people I got Luna from must have had a door bell. She barks every time there is a door bell on the TV.

I guess I thought I said that mom signed the paper guess I just implied it... I'm hoping that it is for the best think it is .... we will see how things transpire the aid is coming tomorrow to give her a shower I will still set her hair but that is ok there is also a social worker coming guess to finish up some of the paper work... and the nurse will be stopping by to give us some meds to take to my brother's... need to remember to send some paper work with her so they have it just in case.... some times I wonder if we in our ignorance don't understand how bad she is or are they just making things sound worse than they actually are... but I've been wondering if I found that mom had passed away during the night who do I call??? I now know it will be the nurse assigned us... she was here today for a few moments for an assessment seems to be a really nice person
the tv had issues tonight finally got it on with brother helping I thought that the red light meant it was on .... nope it meant that it was off it can sometimes take forever to turn on in this case I was watching tv and it just went off thought it was a cable thing so finally turned it on again said no internet but the frame was working and I reached over and turned the laptop on could see that I had internet so that didn't make since finally reached out to brother... I so hate remotes and when two are involved!!!! it's a pain in the tush
Irmi so glad to hear from you hopefully you had a lot of fun
there are times when we do spend lots of money .... I don't look forward to what I will need to take care of when I get back into the trailer...
hard to picture a place where while waiting you can take a shower or do laundry
Is there more tornado's this year or does it just seem that way? glad you are safe Martha I think I would hesitate going on a camping trip right now... mom used to belong to the Cattlewoman's thing... don't remember much about it though
looking forward to seeing your pictures of your effort's Karen ... I hope that soon we will feel like it's warm enough to start planting here...
the oxygen company came she came in with a new concentrator but asked me what it was doing so I explained the whole thing mentioned that I wasn't getting oxygen (you can feel it with that one by pulling it down and letting it blow on your face the tank it only has the oxygen when you breath in not when you breath out so it's really hard to know if you are getting oxygen) she reached down and turn the button up and there it was oxygen and no alarm... I think what happened it for some reason mom thought that it was a fan decided to turn it off so turned the knob that adjusts the oxygen level to all the way down... she did come and ask me to turn off the fan guess she could still hear it sometimes her hearing is better than other times... so back not having to pack the tank around... which is great now I know what to do if it happens again...
you all have a great day
