It has been a very warm 60's Christmas Day here but it looks as though this was the last day for the warmer weather we've been having. I'm exhausted from socializing and I'm ready for another glass of wine and my comfy chair.

Love your shirt Shirl!

I did not sleep again last night. This happens about once a month or so, and most of the time, it is because I forgot to take my nighttime pills. But I never discover this until morning, and it has taken me a while to figure out that these two things are related--Duh. Anyway, my Ohio son called me at 7 am and said the kids were begging to open the gifts I had sent. (They are teenagers, not little kids, so I think they could have waited!!) Anyway, being a good grandmother, I got up and dressed, and we face-timed. I often buy gifts from national park visitor centers and stores that I wander past in small towns, so I got no one anything on their list this year!!! It's an easy way to do my shopping early and spread out the cost. I think they were happy, however. They got me a new cover for my couch, a cell phone emergency charger that I can carry i n my purse or pocket, and an Airtag. Other son sent me a Camping World gift card so tomorrow I am going to get myself a new shower wand and an outdoor chair. My current one is old and has rusted to the point where it is really hard to open and close.

Anyway, I went back to bed and took my morning pills at about 10 am, so was able to go back to sleep for a couple of hours. No more naps today because I want to get to sleep earlier tonight. Also, did two more loads of laundry, even though it has been raining all day. Luckily, I am in a handicap site and have a short paved sidewalk to the restroom/laundry facility. Got everything folded and put away, so that should last me a couple of weeks, at least.

I hope you all had a pleasant and quiet Christmas, as I did!!!

I ate way too much. But everything I took was sooo good. I didn't win anything in the raffle the park has but that was ok. And here's a picture showing how much fun the owners and managers make this park. Only the husbands are in this picture but had us on the floor laughing as they handled the drawings and more. I had to borrow the picture as I didn't have my phone with me, but I was sure I'd have a few choices from all the other pics being taken.

Beth, I understand why you like this park. Looks like a fun place to stay. Thanks for the picture.

Got back from our dinner a little while ago. Everything went without a hitch (on my end!). It was really fun and the food (beef brisket and mashed potatoes) was fabulous! Had a good group at the table too. My coleslaw was a hit too. Only about a spoonful left to take home. Brought some meat and potatoes home with me too.

Now just relaxing with the kitties and cuddled up under my fuzzy throw blanket. Maybe will watch a movie later. Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is on and someone tonight said it is really funny. I have never seen it.

Need to call the maintenance guys tomorrow and see if I can get an estimate on removing the carpet from my deck and porch. One of the stray cats is still spraying out on the deck and it smells really strong. That carpet has to go!

Hope you all had a good day! Now to get thru New Years. Hoping for better things to come next year.

Merry Christmas!

I got my dinner cooked but was a little late. I didn't realize the turkey wings needed to be cooked so long. The recipes on line said 2 hours and they were done after an hour and 45 minutes. They turned out good. My son's girlfriend didn't come since she is sick. I sure don't need what ever she has. I sent most of the leftovers home with my son. Luna was good all day since she had someone to play with. She got put up tonight for messing with the cats. I wish all the cats were like dingbat Annie. She is oblivious to Luna so since Luna doesn't get a reaction from her she is no fun.

Barbie, I think I could wrap my own presents and in a couple of days I would be surprised when I opened them. lol I sent the rubber chicken toy home with my son for his dog. Since it squeaked so much it just made Luna crazy.

I talked to my brother in Canada today and they said they have no snow and it has only snowed enough to snow blow once. This is the first time they can remember ever having a green Christmas. It was 63 here but is suppose to cool off some on Thursday.

Today feels like a Sunday so the rest of the week will feel a day off.

Barbie, I have seen "Christmas Vacation" many times. I think it is probably my favorite Christmas move - I also think it is hilarious.

Definitely one of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Martha, I thought about that. I would have forgotten what they were too. I do that with stuff I order from Amazon. 2 days later when I get the package I am excited to open it because I forgot what I ordered!

The snow we got in the mountains here last week wasn't much and it all melted the next day when the sun came out. Much of the midwest hasn't had much, if any, snow yet. I know Minnesota is still without snow and has been exceptionally warm so far. Not a good start for winter. Hopefully things will turn around for the rain and snow amounts in January. Don't need more droughts and fires next year!
