Finally Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Finally Friday

Good morning to all. From HOT Las Vegas. Going up to 96 today and 91 tomorrow and then Fall arrives with wind and much cooler temperatures. Will be in mid 70's by middle of next week. Had to renew our driver's licenses yesterday. I passed Bill did not pass eye test. Clerk told him to get glasses, he lost his bifocals. And she made him a new appointment the middle of November. So he gets another shot in a week, then will go to eye doc to see if new glasses will help. Sure hope so. Not a happy camper.
He also has appointment with ear doctor in November and need to make one with an urologist for him too. Went to urgent care this morning for his UTI and doc made a referral for him. If it isn't one thing it is several others.
So far this week managed to walk three times - over 12 miles total. Saw lots of water fowl and a coyote. Got the whole under the front of our house filled, but still no one has showed up to go under the house to make sure there is no damage.
Cool enough in garage to work on some stained glass sun catchers and trying to find a nice pattern for Christmas table place mats. Never made any for myself as we were never home.
Been reading and keeping up with every one's doings. You all sure keep busy. Seems like I'm getting lazier and lazier.

Another dang foggy, damp and misty morning and it is after noon now. Usually burns off by 11 or so. Oh well. Doing a couple of loads of laundry, Henry vacuumed, rest of house all tidied up. So I am Dilly dallying my morning and maybe afternoon away.
LOL I loved that Beth.
Didnt feel great last night had some tummy upset but feeling fine this morning, just tired because I couldnt sleep until after 1 am. Didnt get up until 6 and think I will just lounge around this afternoon.
Carol tell Bill to definitely get an exam. I just got new glasses and I can see so much better with the stronger prescription. I pretty much wear them all the time now when watching tv, coputer, and always when driving. I ordered a couple pair of progressives (one for home and one for the car) and a pair of sunglasses from Zenni. I order most of my glasses from them, So far I have had very good luck. I dont have insurance for eye glasses so Zenni works well for me.

I thought I already posted. Obviously not. Or it was when I lost a connection. I'm at a COE park tonight. Had to take it for two nights, so probably will stay tomorrow also. I picked my site by pictures online. I wouldn't pick this site on person, but while I took a pull through so I wouldn't have to unhook, I unhooked and was able to make the site work. Ty like walking here and better likes that he met the neighbors dog and made friends.

Karen, I haven't heard either of those words used in years, so what a coincidence that they showed up twice yesterday. They're good words.

Didn't do much today other than some retail therapy at Dollar Store and WM. Was still feeling down this morning. I bought a nice velour jogging outfit. Not that I plan to go jogging but will be comfy to wear on cooler nights or gloomy days.

I work tomorrow til 2 and then need to run a couple errands.

It ended up getting up to 110* today! It felt really uncomfortable! I guess I got spoiled from the cooler temps we had a week or two ago. The 80's will feel good by Tuesday!

I found a recipe on line for blueberry banana bread. I have a package of banana bread mix so I bought some bananas and blueberries today. That combo sounds really good! I bet strawberries would be good with the banana bread too.

I also buy my glasses on line at Zenni with good results. I need to order another pair since I haven't found my glasses I lost a couple weeks ago.

Carol, you are hardly lazy! You have walked 4 miles a day so far this week! That is way more than I could do!

Have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Since it's Friday I decided to go pick up a lunch. Today was Crawfish Étouffée and Fried Catfish so had that for lunch and supper. Went to Walmart and got mostly cat food and litter. My brother's birthday is Monday and I bought a card at least two weeks ago. Did I remember to mail it, NO. I remembered it when I went to the post office. Maybe I can make it to the post office before noon tomorrow. Since it's going to Canada I don't know how much postage to put on it.

I was on the front porch about 30 minutes ago looking for one of the cats and saw a vehicle in front of the neighbor's house shining a flood light all over. I thought it was a sheriff department car because it moved on down the road still shinning the light all over. I looked out a few minutes later and a vehicle had driven up to the house with the light. Someone was out shining a light all over again. That went on for a few minutes and they left. I think the lady that lives there has gone to live with her daughter.

It got up to 91 today and still no rain. This has been a crazy year weather wise.

I'm with Barbie, Carol at least you go walking me not so much I work on my projects fix meals ignore the house till I decide I can't anymore so no you are not lazy...
nephew had some company come and blow out the lines for the sprinkler system today... I thought he was with them but beginning to wonder if he left before they did ... the garage door was left open the big one,, then discovered at supper that the side door to the garage was left open as well :? which is something that nephew wouldn't do... leave lights on yes leave the step stool downstairs yes but I don't think he would leave the garage open...
made chicken noodle soup for supper not too bad... I wish that I had had some Italian mixed seasoning though probably have them all separate but was too lazy to look for them... the step stool is downstairs  hard to dig into a cupboard you can barely reach.. having nephew and his family over for supper tomorrow night thinking o making mac and cheese lots of odd cheeses in fridge read a hint today that it works to add dijon mustard to mac and cheese ...might have to try it ....
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries must have started there Christmas movies... the normal times are different and that seems like what they did last year... can't remember seeing this movie at all so will have to finish watching it... which means that I won't see one of the movies that I really wanted to see while I was out and about till who knows when probably will reappear next year...
just added up the amounts that I spent on motels it was just under a 1,000 figured up gas but can't remember the amount less than the motels though as I recall so guessing I spent about 2500 give or take not counting the amount I spent on stuff that I bought at walmart costco ect to bring to the house...
you all have a great day
